Post Match Thread: City vs Boro

Gutless , spineless all over the shop in defence and another two goals conceded at home.

Lose to Chelsea which we will and the only thing we will have to concern ourselves with is whether we can qualify for Chumps League next season.

MP under heaps of pressure now.

That was disgraceful.
The first two words of your first sentence and the third fourth and fifth word of your second are utterly comical in conjunction with each other.

Without Yaya Toure in central midfield, we have no forward influence. Fernando is literally the Brazillian Garcia. Slow, way too easy to go past, takes him ages to move the ball on, rarely one touch passing. Fernandinho, he can get forward, but he lacks the vision to run a game from in there. Lampard, doesn't start and obviously not the Lampard of old, he'll get goals, with his ghosting runs into the box, but he's not going to run a game or get the 20 odd assists a season he used to.

Desperate need of a creative central midfielder in the summer, to play alongside Yaya and one of the fernas. or instead of them depending who it is.

Usual guff in the first half...why do we bother to attack the south stand in the 1st half? We never bloody score at that end.
and to think all those earlier this season slagging off Ya Ya and Nasri... get Milner in he works his socks off blah blah blah.....we're not even a third of the team without those two players and Silva can't function properly without them.
Kolarov was gash, VK looks like a pale shadow of the leader he has been, Milner can leave tomorrow as he is extremely limited, Fernando is a fairy....lost out twice in 50/50's on their first goal..we left De Jong go for piss all and have spent millions buying in players who do not appear to be any better?
8 home defeats in 10 months, another embarrassing cup exit to a team from a lower division, 2 more goals conceded at home and it could havebeen 4 or 5.
Well done to the club for that money spinning trip abroad, it really pumped us up for this game. This season has been waiting to implode and it has in the last 3 games, our consistent mediocrity was always likely to get found out and it has today.
Well played to them, they were good but were there for the taking in the 1st half and as usual, we turn around not in front and running the risk of conceding and having to chase around like headless chickens for the last half hour....which we did.
Pretty cheesed off right now, you can accept dominating for 85 minutes and losing to a breakaway goal but the way we lost today was really unacceptable.
Ah well, all part of being a City supporter....time for a few beers and a King Prawn Madras

Well played, Boyata. Only player who can be proud of their performance.

To think just a couple of seasons ago, we had the best defence in the league, and we're scoring for fun. I've held my tongue on this, but now I'm going to say it. We have REGRESSED dramatically, and our business in the transfer market, has been poor to say the least. These poor performances happening far too often now, something is definitely not right.

Lots saying this and they are right. Obvious I know but:

Chelsea - Costa and Fabregas
Scum - Dobby and Falcao (I know)
Tarquins - Sanchez
Us - Fernando and Mangala

They saw us coming and it's becoming a theme.
