Post Match Thread: City vs Boro

Game of two halves to go all Danny Taylor on you.

1st half was exciting and though we didn't put the ball in the net and were shaky at the best, I and many others were in a happy and buoyant mood on the match thread. Even Jim didn't seem to mind my insults to the Irish.

2nd half was really poor. Really really poor. We looked almost shellshocked from the word go and the enthusiasm for the fight didn't seem there until the last ten minutes or so.

I'll have my say about team selection elsewhere but from the squad that he picked I thought he got most of the big decisions right, and the subs were the ones most were screaming for.

Kompany let us down today as did Fernando. We're all desperate for Fernando to be one of those players who becomes a "big player" for us in these types of matches but he's always two minutes away from a mistake.

Not much to complain about attacking wise as their keeper was in that "one game a year" form that was expected.

Caballero had his worse game in a City shirt for me. Constantly flapping and came off his line far too much. Really bad performance for him.

I can't argue against your post Damo. A few major concerns regarding the first team and back ups. I am hoping Kun can regain his pre injury form.

Gutless , spineless all over the shop in defence and another two goals conceded at home.

Lose to Chelsea which we will and the only thing we will have to concern ourselves with is whether we can qualify for Chumps League next season.

MP under heaps of pressure now.

That was disgraceful.

We've returned to the pre-Swansea game crisis - piss poor again from Pellegrini, he's not the answer

This is overstretching it..we don't have two key players and have just got major players back from Injury. Behave please.

A reversal of the usual story in these cup games. First half we were motivated and looked pretty good, should have gone in ahead. Then we reverted to the usual utterly shite disinterested bunch of lazy wankers that are normally on display in the first half against lower league opposition.

Cheers for that lads. Work in Middlesbrough is going to be hell for weeks and weeks.

Once again guilty of dily - dalying in front of goal and we paid a hefty price.

Now we have to go after the remaining two competitions and make sure we win at least one of them. Not going to be easy but it is doable. First of all we have to go to stamford bridge and get a result.
