Apart from a couple of spells during the game (and in extra time) we were far too slow and predictable. There's hardly any variation to our tactics - even if a team sits deep they know we'll spend an age passing sideways, with an inevitability that we'll fuck one of the passes up and lose possession.

End result is that we give them an age to organise, and then offer them the counter-attack on a plate. Hardly a masterplan. We seem to be relying on the pure talent of individuals to get us a win, and are far too one-dimensional to be a team that other clubs will struggle to set up against.

I

I take it it you've never played football except on a computer then. Show me a player that's never missed a chance and I'll take it back.

Oh it happens alright! Haha I missed an open goal from like 5 yards by putting it over the bar ( with my weaker foot ) I was off balance to be fair...... But I think the issue is larger than the miss itself, it's not "one of those" it's Sterlings technique which is feeble and poor. He'll continue to fluff chances like that unless he learns how to correctly position himself to strike a ball and also of course striking the ball correctly itself.

Neither side played particularly well. A draw would have been a fair result.

Demichelis worries me as a stand-in.

More pissed off with that than I was Saturday, at least Liverpool played well.

A game we should have won, we had chances we should have scored. Another idiotic substitution, taking our best, most dynamic player off, and going 442 with Yaya and Fernando in CM, clearly didn't learn much on Saturday then. I've no issue with Delph coming on, but Sterling is going to drive me nuts, and he's no more a striker than I am, running about like a headless chicken, and doing the square root of f*ck all of use in the process. De Bruyne could do with finding some form too, and don't get me started on the idea of Hart being injured for any time.

I think Kolarov being a good attacker is a myth. He always complicates, his decision making is poor. He leaves the left exposed and all the you get from him is silly shots and crosses that are just blasted into the box in hope.

I call bollocks to that lol........better than a defender that's 90% shithouse.
