Apart from a couple of spells during the game (and in extra time) we were far too slow and predictable. There's hardly any variation to our tactics - even if a team sits deep they know we'll spend an age passing sideways, with an inevitability that we'll fuck one of the passes up and lose possession.
End result is that we give them an age to organise, and then offer them the counter-attack on a plate. Hardly a masterplan. We seem to be relying on the pure talent of individuals to get us a win, and are far too one-dimensional to be a team that other clubs will struggle to set up against.
