We needed to keep it tight & not to lose as our priority tonight and, with benefit of hindsight, I'd have played a midfield of the two Ferns, Toure and Delph as a diamond, then Aguero with de Bruyne behind him.

Might even have gone 3-5-2, with Sagna in the back 3, Kolarov and Navas as wing backs. The two Ferns and Yaya in the midfield plus Sergio/KDB up front.

Agreed and we couldn't do it and the way we set up and with the personnel we have its little wonder we continue to allow opposition players to stroll through ever widening gaps.

It's no longer a matter of if we concede but when.

Many a side with " less quality " than ours could have come to Turin and restricted their opportunities to fewer than we allowed.

OK we had our chances but we fluffed them which is often what happens when you are low in confidence and not willing to press and take on a defence with intensity.

Still fuming after the liverpool game, now this. With all the money spent we really should be doing better.
49m on Sterling and he couldn't tap a ball in from 2yds out ffs. Very nearly tnrew the remote at the TV.
That one miss could cost Pellers his job.

Overall though i didn't think we played that badly and on another day could have got a result.

We've got the wrong mentality in this competition. The people at the top talk about winning it yet our fucking manager says in his press conference last night that it's important to avoid Barcelona so that we don't go out. Come on like, that's just not good enough from our manager. Fucking fed up of this inferiority complex in Europe

Saying that at the presser is not going to help instill a winning mentality but after watching them demolish Roma the other night Barca are on a completely different level, they are awesome. Even at our best we are so far behind them.

I'm not laughing but we had fuck all penetration down the left without Kolarov who would surely have come on but for Hart's problem.
Didn't have much, if any, in fact we had none, no penetration, no threat, no quality down the right either. I think Yaya gave up playing the ball out there!

Seemed like our entire game plan was to go from central midfield pass it sideways out to the right. Let Navas, Sagna and someone else play a few triangles then pass it back to Fernando/Demichelis...Rinse and repeat.

Its being realistic mate, barca thrashed real without messi and yesterday beat roma 1-6, our defense does not stand a chance sorry to say, blame it on recruitment policy but thats how it is

That's probably very true but you can't come out and say that in the press conference. We've got serious ambitions of winning this competition and in order to do that we will have to eventually beat Barca, Real or Bayern over two legs, simple as that.

I wanna see us as a club going toe to toe with these teams, not being in awe of them and praying not to get nutmegged as Yaya said most of the lads were before the Nou Camp leg last year. We're better than that

The mentality starts with the manager.
