Post QPR Celebrations

Ended up at some basement club in Ancoats with @squirtyflower and his kin and possibly @mancitymick

Only landed my ticket less than an hour before kick off. Absolute result!

it was a bit edgy in that club: which I loved, obvs.
I was in that one as well, I couldn’t seemed to get pissed that night I don’t know if it was the emotion of it all, go5 up early on Monday and had cherry lambrini and poppadoms at my mates for breakfast at 8 am then straight into town on the piss for the parade.

I can't remember what I did after the win being completely bladdered, at the time when we won it I couldn't believe it and was overcome with relief mainly.

Weird how a few years later I have fallen out of love with football though.

Went into the Grey Horse & Circus followed by Waldorf and finally my local afterwards back in Chaddy, plenty of beer was supped.
We had a few in Mitchells then also went in the Grey Horse, Circus, and Waldorf. But when we got to the Waldorf it had literally been drunk dry. There were not even spirits or wine left. People were lying on the street outside the pub. It was bloody magnificent. I was just emotionally drained like I was after the Gillingham Play-off final. As some have said the celebrations in 2014 were more enjoyable and less stressful.

I used to go games with my Dad and Uncle( some may know him as Badger). My Dad turned round to me at 2-1, bottom lip near his knees and said we've blown it! I replied I know!! Couldn't believe what happened after it. We went into the Manchester after the game where my Mrs had watched it. Ran out of beer and ended up getting my Dad who only drank mild onto shots! My Dad sadly passed away in 2014 and I always have a tear in my eye and goosebumps whenever I watch it

Yeah, I've lost a couple of diehard Blue mates since but always glad that they got to see this. A good memory of the day was on the way in at Piccadilly. I got the Burnage train in and waited for a mate to arrive from Cheadle Hulme. I watched about half a dozen local trains arrive and hundreds of Blues pour off each of them. Made me proud, love seeing us takeover town.

Must be the same place I ended up in! Bengal Street IIRC. Think Felix - who does the City on Tour meet ups for European aways - sorted it in advance with the club. Was a great end to the night, but a few hours before that it had took a nosedive for us. We were in the ‘spoons near the town hall (The Waterhouse). It was packed full of blues enjoying themselves with not a hint of trouble, but the bouncers decided to get arsey and told us to stop singing. Eventually got thrown out for defying orders so we hurled a shit load of abuse at them on the way out, and carried on doing so outside. The police turned up and to their credit, instead of nicking us they advised us to move on and to not let them spoil our night. It was only a few days later that we found out that just round the corner The Bank on Mosley Street was letting City fans in and allowing them to belt out whatever song they wanted. So that’s where we ended up in 2014.

Didn't have a drop alcohol all that day.

I turned up at Etihad and saw everyone in party mode and knew it would be a tough game, certainly no forgone conclusion.

I was sick with nerves and I just broke down at the final whistle with my dad.

I had waited so long and just wanted to go home, it had taken so much out of me.

I will always remember my wife waiting in the hallway for me when I opened the front door and she was crying, my little boy was five and she had kept him up in his City kit waiting for me.

He kept shouting we did it Daddy!!

Yes, we fucking did son.

Priceless and sober!

Went to watch Match in a pub in the village where I live. Normally I'd meet up with my city friends but my son who was a mad City fan as well had died only a few months earlier. I wanted just to watch the match in a quiet environment and went to a pub that I did not go into very often. When the match was almost over and we were still down 2 1 I started to make my way home. As I was on the way home I said to hell with it all and went into my local. When I went in everyone was roaring and cheering
A friend of mine came up to me and said "Your son must be the happiest man in heaven"
I genuinely had no idea what had happened but it ended up being the happiest and saddest day of my life.
