Post Something Interesting

Have you tried cheese and peas?

It's easy-peasy.
as far as i can recollect,
there isn't one single ingredient that i haven't tried with cheese
(dead animals excepted)
cheese is my nirvana and will be the death of me.
although my liver may have something to say about that claim.

the oddest attempt that worked was comte and grated carrots.

I’m reading Irish history from the ice age to modern times and am just past the siege of Derry.
Something I found interesting is that the Whigs and Tory parties that were opposing around 1678 or so got their names from Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic.
Considering that the Tories were royalists that supported James II, it surprised me me that the Irish Old English (Normans) and Gaelic Lords firstly supported Charles I in the nine year war thinking he would restore Irish Catholic land ownership, before Cromwell stepped in.
Tóraidhe, in modern Irish tóraí, means "outlaw", "robber", from the Irish word tóir, meaning "pursuit", since outlaws were "pursued men".
The Tories were outlaws for supporting a Catholic, James II.

Fascinating stuff.

It can't get any worse... Today I learned that live streaming is not as easy as it looks! I’ve always enjoyed watching streams, but I didn’t realize how much goes into making it professional. I reached out to ikan customer service, and they were incredibly helpful in explaining what I really need to get started. They guided me through the different types of equipment that are essential for creating high-quality streams, from cameras to lighting and audio gear. It turns out, having the right tools is crucial to ensuring everything looks and sounds good

Mrs KS is away at the moment so I have gone berserk. I had a haircut and beard trim (£16) and I had fish cakes for tea. Whatever next?

thinking back, for ages i only seem to remember eggs being brown in the uk.

here there are just as many white eggs and had jumped to the conclusion that they must be inferior because they were slightly cheaper.

i was wrong.
there is no nutritional difference at all.

the reason they are cheaper is because they come from hens with white feathers who need less food to produce the same quantity of eggs as the brown-feathered variety.

so i bought some and they are lovely.
