Post Something Interesting

In 2009, The Pet Shop Boys turned down a request from animal rights campaigners which asked them to change their name to the Rescue Shelter Boys.

In a letter to the musicians, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) listed a series of claims about pet shops and their activities which, they said, were cruel
 
I was going to put this in the General and Mental Health thread and then thought it could look as if I wasn't taking that thread seriously.

So here goes....
I promise you I did not do this on purpose but I am definitely taking 'advantage' of it. Now that's got you intrigued hasn't it??
I have injured my foot and am having difficulty walking, well anyone can catch their foot on the Hoover(Dyson) can't they? Under normal circumstances it would mean an "Ouch that hurt" and then carry on as usual. Oh cooome on,,,, this is EB when did she ever do anything normal??
Because of the tablets I am taking even the slightest knock causes a bruise of some kind but this one has caused an extremely swollen foot, three toes that look like I haven't washed my feet for a year and the top of my foot (dorsum?) black and blue and extremely painful when I put the foot to the floor.
So to the point...... this gives me the perfect reason (look I say reason you may say excuse but it's my foot so leave me alone!!) anyroad up.... the perfect reason to sit with my foot up and watch..... DOWNTON ABBEY THE FINALE.....
I'm even seriously thinking of buying it rather than just renting. It can be an early Christmas present to myself. (sorry for the Chr****as

I am sorry to be self indulgent but hey ho, that's life in the slow lane these days. Pain and discomfort has to be overcome.
All I need is a Butler (or a JB???) to bring me cups of tea and biscuits..... nah that wouldn't do me. I like to retain my independence. I have my trusty walking stick and a lot of furniture to hang on to.
So that is my plan for today. Tomorrow will look after itself.

Come on City. MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD.

Ooooohhh as if by magic Amazon have sent me a credit for £5 to rent or buy any video.......... so I am going to buy it because there is only a fiver between the rental and buy prices!!! Wow some people get all the luck. :-)
 
The B52 has been used for 55 years. The USAF want to keep it flying for another 25 years big question will or are drones making that an expensive mistake?

A drone can't compete with a B52, or other weapon platforms like the F35 Lightning.

35 tons of payload flying at 50,000 ft for thousands of miles at 500 mph, with stand off missiles and guided bombs, versus a battery powered 4 rotored piece of plastic with a range of minutes and a payload of pounds.

Drones have their place, but also limitations, and can't deliver a real punch when needed.

I'd suggest that PETA haven't really grasped the full meaning of the bands name, although I'd be interested to see that list of alleged cruelty.
