Should we be following the Arsenal route and start resting players in the Champions League?

Borussia are a poor side. Sevilla beat them 3-0 and some of the goals conceded were absolutely pathetic. If we can get our tempo right from the off, we can end this game as a contest very quickly indeed. Just hope our mentality is right or we could be making this unnecessarily difficult for ourselves

They've changed manager and picked up.

Had to read this back 2 or 3 times as I couldn't believe what you said!

It's far from a joke league. Ok, they have an elite club who will win most of the titles so you could argue it's a boring league but a joke league? Wow.

IMO most of the clubs nearer the bottom of the bundesliga are twice as strong as the club's near the bottom of the PL. Boring perhaps, depending on what you like, but no way is it a joke league.
I doubt you'd get Bundesliga clubs resting players in the Champions League because of big games coming up in the Premiership.

Wenger did it at Zagreb and lost in advance of game at Chelsea, and he's done it tonight as well in advance of Man Utd. That is my point strength of the Ptemiership hits English clubs in Europe because it is so competitive. You rate Wolfsburg do you? Runners up to Bayern.

going for a 2-1 victory, them to score first.

Hart
Sagna
Demi
Otamendi
Kolarov
Toure
Dinho
Silva
KDB
Sterling
Aguero

Thats the team i would like to see but i have a horrible feeling navas is gonna start.

As do most teams when a new manager comes in. Don't get me wrong, they have dangerous players like Hazard and Herrmann and we'll have to be up for it physically in the middle with Xhaka in there but we've got more than enough quality to pin them back early and stay on the front foot.
I know we've been in this situation before and not turned up (Ajax, CSKA etc) but I'm so confident in the lads tomorrow night. They will be hurting after Saturday and sooner or later, all these shots that we're having will have to find the net

If we do we will lessen the chances of us qualifying for the number two position you think is only postion left to us.

Seriously if we cannot get through with the squad we have despite our injuries and continue to use the warn out argument that Chumps League compromises the efforts in the premiership we might as well finish outside the top four ( perhaps soon to be three ) often enough to have a tilt at a title every three years or so.

Winning games is what it is all about and you do that by putting your best available every week.

In any case who can we rest we have 6 non starters and have to have kids on the bench tonight.

We have to win tonight pure and simple for a host of reasons one of which is to get back some semblence of winning form against a Newcastle side desperate for their first win on Saturday.

If you think either game is going to be easy especially with our poor mindset at present especially in Europe you are kidding yourself and without the best available playing its going to be even harder.

You don't want to roll up on Saturday having lost our last 4 games ( Sunderland excluded ) which would our worst run in a number of years and a manager under real pressure to deliver a performance on Saturday with a growing number once again calling for his head with a record of 6-4-0 miles below expectations off the back of one of the worst half's of football we have managed to contrive in many a year against a side we blitzed in the past couple of outings and losing to a side we should never to at home namely West Ham.

We really have dropped the ball once again and with consummate ease it seems losing three games we should have done and dusted and made lives harder for us.

We don't want to make it even harder by resting players that should be professional enough to win two games of football in a week against this opposition.

We are not Bayern or Barca or Real or PSG etc we are well below them at this juncture and the sooner the players and management realise this the better.

What have PSG done for you to say we're well below them?

2013 knocked out to Barcelona after a group of Kiev Zagreb & Porto (WOW) & Valencia in rd 16 (WOW)
2014 Knocked out to Chelsea after a group of Olympiakos, Benfica & Anderlecht (AGAIN WOW) & Leverkusen in rd 16 (WOW)
2015 Again knocked out to Barcelona after a group of Ajax, Apoel & Barcelona (Other than Barce easy) & Chelsea in last 16 actually did well.

PSG are no better than us, as soon as they come up against a decent side they are shown for what they're average in Europe. To put them in the bracket of Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona is laughable.

PSG LIKE US HAVE DONE NOTHING IN EUROPE.
