Nice touch to make Lampard captain. His last premier league game has been overshadowed by the Gerrard coverage.

Is the primary purpose of CFA to produce players to sell for £2-3m a piece? Kind of like a talent farm. Produce and sell. Rinse and repeat. Because we sure as hell don't seem interested in them playing for Manchester City.
Its been up and running for 2 fucking minutes. We aren't going to be producing world class players evey year .we'll be lucky to get two or three 1st teamers coming through in the next few years. these players not only have to be prem quality they also have to be champions league quality. I don't think people actually understand the difference between playing youth football and playing prem football. There's a reason why rekik and other players have gone on loan for the last few years.

The over reaction is huge.

It's not an overreaction, it's about the 15th time he could have invested in the future of the club he isn't going to be at in the future but didn't.

He hasn't got the best interests of Manchester City at heart which means he shouldn't be our manager

Whatever you think of the guy, that has got to be the most ridiculous and unsubstantiated pile of horse crap that has been written about him.

Would of thought there would of been at least a couple of younguns on the bench, but hey ho, always next season for them to get their chance! Wouldn't worry too much tbh.

I take the argument that a city team should be picked to win a match. But if the manager can't find room for one youth team player in the squad today in a match where there is nothing riding on it in respect of points when will he ever play one of the youngsters. We are not really going to appeal to any talented youth team player at this rate

I am watching Southampton warm up. They are a big strong well organised team fighting to finish 5th. To play kids against them would be foolish for so many reasons.

this game means nothing to us though.

Plus no one said play eleven kids.

One on the bench would have been a start.

Once again for those who didn't listen first time. We did not win 'the double' last season. In England, the double is the FA Cup and the League Championship. We won two trophies, which is 'a double' not 'the double'.

Yep, pedantic.
