You can't win with some people - I'm surprised at the strong line up but you can't go with the mindset of worrying about injuries before they've even happened. Also, it could be argued that Aguero needs the game time to help get his finishing back up to scratch and KDB needs the game time to help bed in with the team further.

I'm happy with that team. Would be nice to win it in the first half and then bring three kids on and protect the likes of Sergio.

Bear in mind that in any game there is a small chance of any player getting injured. If someone like Sergio gets a knock it's just one of those things. It could just as easily happen in the first minute against Spurs or in the last minute against west ham.

The club want glory this year. We have the squad to cope with fighting for four trophies in the winter/spring, so it would be daft to take the chance of blowing this tie by picking a load of kids.

To be fair, the majority of premier league clubs (even the shit ones) treat the league cup as a reserve team tournament. I think in the last round, only Sunderland played their first team due to the crisis they were/are in.

Caballero, maffeo, Otamendi, Demichelis, Kolarov, Fernando, Yaya Toure(c), roberts, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero.

I dont get the moaning. Players need time to gel together why not tonight. It be nice to see how well Sterling , Kun and KDB play together. I think the subs will get a run out we will just need to get a goal or 2 first before bringing them on. I can see why he has picked this team and I think we need Kun to score a goal or 2 for his confidence as he hasnt been in the goals like he normally does. Shame Bony and Nacho are out as both would of been involved tonight too.
