navas is a near 30 year old experienced spanish international and should know better , whilst sterling is an admittedly pricey 20 year old kid , who has a lot to learn , and his best years ahead of him .The disappointment in Navas's "final ball" is the problem , you cant fault his workrate , but it all turns to sh*t when he has to cross the ball or score a goal.

His final ball is a problem I agree but maybe it's not all of his own fault.

When we're against 10 defenders and committing 1 or 2 players in about the penalty spot it doesn't leave him a lot of options. A lot of the problems stem from our players (lack of) off the ball movement.

Of course it's not weak. We'd struggle to field a weak side, but the point I made was about getting the regular team back to winning ways. To do that you need to be shrewd about making changes. I'm sure Pellers isn't blind - he sees the squad far more regular than you or I.

so because I'm not the manager i can't have an opinion. your honestly telling me the team i put isn't good enough, if we can't beat sunderland with basically a first team there are serious problems ( only two major changes from west ham) . btw he clearly is blind as navas has been terrible.

Caballero, maffeo, Otamendi, Demichelis, Kolarov, Fernando, Yaya Toure(c), roberts, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero.

how would that team blow the tie ? its not a load of kids its one or two who deserve a chance
They will get their chance if we get an easy tie in the next few rounds. I suspect a few will in the second half tonight. Go and ask nacho about being 'given a chance'. Slowly slowly catchee monkey.

People need to lose this 1970s mindset. The club is cleverly bringing through the first generation of decent academy prospects. The last thing the likes of bloody Maffeo need right now is responsibility for going out the cup on their shoulders.

Because they are not part of our strongest team. That lineup today is our strongest possible starting 11 bar Fernando, but he is still a senior player.

We have lost 2 games in 7 days, if Manuel starts playing around with even one or two kids, coming off the week we have just had, he will have the book thrown at him and rightly so.

Tonight is not the night to be using the youngsters. We need to get back to winning ways before 2 very important games.

Like I said earlier, the correct decision tonight.

well we lost in the fourth round last season playing a full strengh side at home. Same thing happened in the fa cup as well.

Nevertheless I wouldnt have started the likes of garcia who hasnt even done anything for the eds yet. Would have liked to see Roberts or Barker get a start though.
