Getting these tickets were crazy. Took over an hour today to get them processed and had to settle for ones with a restricted view. Doubt it will be too restricted though.

I got the same, M33 row J if restricted means ill be looking through the goal net I'm happy with that.
Yes I would be to. I wonder what thwy mean by restricted. Being a pitch on a big oval it shouldnt be much. I thibk im m8 which is if im not mistaken, near the madrid section

Ive watched football matches in the past at the MCG, when sitting around the half way you are about 40 metres away from the playing pitch. restricted viewing I assume is due to the goal post. M8 would be on an angle so you would have good sight of the pitch

also those visiting Melbourne for the first time - pack your winter gear lads cause it gets cold

I hope not. If it were the rags or livershite then maybe. I doubt our following is as large as theres over here.

Sign up at tickettek and add yourself to the priority pre-sale waiting list as they go for sale on friday.
Righto will do. I still don't understand what the priority waiting list means..hence I haven't applied for it yet.

edit: don't know how to apply for priority. No links on ticketek.
I'll just hope for the best when general sale comes out. It's just me going so surely I can find a single seat somewhere.

Make sure you are logged in your account and click join the waitlist next to priority group pre-sale

When I click on this link, there is no 'waitlist' option. All logged in and everything but doesn't seem to be there. Reckon the priority presale might be all gone?

Be gutted if we can't get tickets. 13 yr old boy and I are all organised to fly over from NZ - trip of a lifetime for us.

Think you'll be able to get tickets mate. I think the way it worked/works is that there were a set (small?) number for the Telstra pre-sale, then another set (small?) number for the public (Ticketek) pre-sale, with many more tickets in each section for when they go on general sale on Monday morning. I managed to get two for each game in the City area through the public pre-sale (although the RM ones are not together). If you wanted any advice (and apologies if you don't), make sure you've got half an hour or so free for the moment they go on sale - so you can be sat at your computer smashing refresh. Loads will be sat there bang on 10am or whatever time it is. Don't be disheartened if it says there's none left in the area you choose - just keen trying because some people will put them in their basket but not complete the sale - those tickets will then go back on sale again. Might pay to have a second person trying at the same time - you don't have to commit to the purchase even if you've got them in your basket. It might be a struggle getting tickets in the City section (which is tiny considering the size of the MCG), but there should be time to get something, even if they're the stupidly over-priced ones. Good luck!

Who would go to Australia to watch the EDS plus a few others?

I suppose it will be about 10 or 15 dollars, but too much to get there.

Well that was INSANE!

Tried to get 4 tickets in certain area at the City end. No dice - couldn't get 4 seats together.
Tried Silver area with 4 tickets - same
Tried Gold (even though it was getting expensive) - friggin same...
Tried Best available 4 tickets - SAME!!! FFS!! 90,000 seater stadium and I can't get 4 together????

Thought about the Roma game.....
Thought about getting 2 tickets...
Then had one more crack at 4 for Real - best available....
BOOM!!! PITCH SIDE SEATS!!! At the wrong end!!! We're right behind the goal right next to the Madrid section!
That was a rush!!!!!

All 95k tickets sold out for Man City v Real Madrid game. Being here in Melbourne and purchasing tickets before it went on sale so l will be there! If any of you guys from England are coming down perhaps we could get together for a drink with us Melbourne City boys. Would be nice to meet our sister club fans!
