Premier League clubs vote against 5 subs per match in 20/21

See spitty was on about it not being fair on the commentary for the Liverpool/arsenal game tonight - not sure if the main commentator was being serious or taking the piss when he asked him twice if he was going to start a petition so it didnt happen!

As i understand it - its an allownace - the league can decide whether we take up the rule change to include 5 subs or not - is this right?

Should be 3 subs and that’s it, having it 5 you might as well sod it and have rolling subs. Who remembers the good old days of two subs and that was it?

Every team in the league can use 5 subs except us who will be restricted to 1 like the good old days because the charges no one has any insight to was time-barred

Spitty Carragher made a valid point last night that it takes all the thought process of bringing a sub out of a managers thinking with 5 subs. I can understand in the current climate we need to limit players exposure on the pitch, however if the pandemic fades away over next season for one reason or another there is no need to keep it. I unfortunately think they will do alongside those water breaks.

Ye but nobody has a squad as good as ours.

And why is that, I wonder? EVERY PL club receives around £100 MILLION plus from TV rights per season, plus extra for where you finish up at the end of it. .
Some clubs invest in the squad, others make payments/management fees/dividends to their owners. The ones who invest generally (but not always) reap the rewards for their foresight. In my view, our owner has got it right, and we are reaping the benefit.

Yep, I was one. On Colin Bell's debut (for Bury), he scored their goal (not surprisingly), Harry Dowd broke a finger, played out on the wing, and equalised!

Next season will allow 5 Subs in the PL.

Good for fringe players but bad news for letting the game flow.

Edit: PL not confirmed yet but they can if they choose to. So no doubt they will.

Will suit us due to rotation and keeping players sweet.
