Premier League clubs vote against 5 subs per match in 20/21

Any homegrown player U21 who has made less than 20 appearances shouldn’t be counted in the number of subs allowed in the line up This would encourage managers to add more youths players and therefore if a team was in a comfortable position during a game they might be tempted to use them

If you can't put them on the bench how do they get to 20 games??

Brilliant for us if this is authorised by the Premier league. We clearly have the biggest squad (effectively 2 players for every position) and tiredness, fatigue and injury will hopefully be less of an issue.

Not so sure on this. Will just be used to time waste by many, and as most referees don't add on the 30 seconds, or players take longer than 30 seconds anyway to exit the pitch, it's a tool to be abused.

Also feels like one step closer to American Football or Ice Hockey, changing entire units for portions of a match and then letting them back on again later when the game changes. Not that it's wrong, it just not our game.

Just think of all the additional time added on. If I leave at 80 minutes I could miss out on 20 minutes play ;-)
