Premier League Games 21/22/23 January '22

This, all along, has been the problem with VAR. It is not used to correct mistakes or help rule on decisions, it is a tool to influence games, and it is brilliantly effective.

Faceless and unaccountable people sit behind the scenes and choose what gets looked at, what doesn't, and the power they have is unreal. Simply tell the ref to have a look if you want him to change his decision, alert him to something he's missed if it suits the agenda, the list goes on.

It is made all the worse because we are on the big losers from this system, directly or indirectly, or both as has been evidenced this weekend.

And don't even get me started on the tiny measurements being used to determine offside by a system that is inherently unsuited to that kind of measurement.
