We have better players than Arse and scousers, including the best striker in the world - why do we seem to be grinding out close wins while red shirts seem to get 3 or 4 most games?

Not sure we have many better players than the other teams.
There are some fabulous players between all 3.
Rice, Salah, Van Dijk, Saliba, Martinelli, Saka are all top players.

We had an unbelievable season last year.

Any time another team has won a big one, they've completely capitulated the following season. We keep going. To be up there again, for the seventh season in a row, is unbelievable good.

This is the equivalent of our "rebuild" season, when other teams do this they finish 7th or some shit.

We had to have a drop off after last season's high but to be still in the mix in the three big ones going into March is some return.
This team doesn't know when it's done.

The transfers at the beginning of this season is the closest we have come to replicating the Scott Sinclair transfer window

Bums like Livramento play the game of their lives vs us but lend the freedom of the field to Arsenal, no effort. And giving Karius debut at the Emirates, without question teams take us more seriously.

League leaders have no CL football. Arsenal are out of both domestics and a goal down in their CL tie. We're still in the FA Cup and have a foot in the next round of the CL.

This season is going very well. It just doesn't feel it compared to last season (even though we were further off than now) and feels less exciting than 17-19.
