I'm glad Arsenal are continuing to make it interesting, but, they'll start falling away soon and we won't. Level by the end of January, then onwards and upwards for us - to glory!
Not arrogant, just better.Arsenal will fall away due to squad depth or will deservedly go on to win the title. Sometimes I think we are in danger of developing that 'winning mentality' that the armchair rags were once so fond of.
Oh I'm eternally grateful for what we have received the last 10 plus years....especially when I think of what we went through 80s and 90s in particularIts call rivalry, its called a title challenge. So what if we helped a rival in our efforts to improve ourselves? We are living in a golden period of our club's history, we have won a lot of trophies and played some great football, lets enjoy it.
You’re to sensible………I tried resisting the temptation to post but here’s my thoughts atm.
I think we are playing some really good football and I am excited by the promise of our young team however as many of you rightly point out, we are only 15 games in and much could happen and change in the months to come.
Lets be realistic though, City have a much stronger squad than us and rightly, are still favourites for the title. Jesus is out for 3 months which is a big blow for us and Nketiah has yet to prove he can cover for him (despite a good finish today). City also have greater experience than our young team which will be a big advantage on the run in.
Frankly, we need to strengthen but it remains moot whether we will despite the usual this time of the year transfer speculation.
Our aim is top 4 and given where we are now, it’d be a bitter pill were we to fail in achieving that. Actually, I’d also be a bit disappointed if we didn’t actually make top 2.
Anyway, I hope you all had a good Christmas and wishing you an almost happy 2023 ;)
And the other 20 in the squad? They have Arteta, Jesus and Zinchenko who know how to win it.
