Premier League Games 5/6 Nov '22

Nothing wrong with 1-0 wins.

My point is i think Arsenal are playing as well as they can right now.

They are playing at their optimum level and grinding out wins.

Where as we are not firing on all Cylinders, still winning, I think we have another level in us. Once we are it, the Title race will be all over.

How do you know? We pick up a few injuries to key players in the world Cup and we are fucked, likewise they may pick up injuries to key players, any team could, but so far they have played all the so called big teams, and where was our other level against the dippers or Newcastle? Do we think we are that good that we just pick and choose when we go to that next level?

I agree we are not quite at it. The left side is a weakness and our opponents target it, . Ake , Cancelo and Gomez are not reliable defensively. Walker will be a huge boost when he returns. Gundogan should not be playing 90 mins twice a week and we rapidly need Phillips to provide some cover in there. Mahrez, Grealish and to a lesser extent Foden are not fully firing . If we can come back after Qatar with these issues redressed then watch out ...

They haven’t played us yet, I expect to beat them, because we are better than them. Unlike other teams, liverpool, they’ll try to play us at our own game. I also think our squad is far deeper than theirs.

Just watched a gif of Trent pushing someone over in the box no attempt to play the ball ,my lad says how's that not the same as yesterday, easy England is on VAR today not reffing
How does he get every VAR game for them ?

We are fucked? We've had injuries to key players all season, and for the last few seasons!

If you've watched the last few seasons, you'd know we hit top gear towards the end of January and become relentless, and we will do so again

It's clear that there is a long term plan to take the world cup into account, and you can see that in the fact we've played in 3rd gear most of the season

Yes it's caught us out a couple of times this season, but over 38 games we will be the beneficiary of that plan

The penalty and win yesterday felt vital at the time but it's just become even more important after today's wins for arsenal and the dippers.

Staying 2 points behind arsenal gives them no room to breath, they'll be feeling exactly like their fans, shitting themselves at the almost inevitable feeling we will pass them and once we do there's no catching us. Psychologically it's huge.

Keeping the dippers at bay with a double figure lead is important too, I'm convinced they'll pick up post world cup with a much fresher squad than most and we have to remember they've now played away at spurs, arsenal and united and will have a much more generous schedule than us.
