In 30-40 years time, whenever winning 4 out of 5 league titles is mentioned, it will always prompt the question “if they were so good, why couldn’t they win the CL?”
 
So we are a little more than 2 hours from representing the country in a massive match and on the BBC website we are 9th on the list, a new story just came on in 2nd place and guess what, it’s a rag story about Lingard. Disgraceful behaviour from our national broadcaster !!!!

Since 1992 only the Rags from England havr won the PL and CL in the same season, they did it twice in 99 and 08, also won the FA Cup in 99 of course.
 
I'd give my right arm now to have a choice. I'd take either.

Yes I’m old school but the CL is just not all that for me but I do realise it’s importance to the club, the owners and players.

Lose a game in the FA cup and you're out...

Lose multiple games in the CL and you can still be lauded as the best team in Europe..!

Plus the CL is seeded in the group games, basically weighted to make it easier for the established teams to qualify out of their groups ..

Plus it's then seeded in the round of 16 games..

Plus you don't have to actually be champions of your country to gain entry to the CL..


Best trophy in the world to win apparently..!


Makes perfect sense..!

Ask your local dipper how many Premier Leagues they've won !

It's only been going since 1992, they must have won it at least half a dozen times surely, them being the best team ever, ever, ever..

What was that..? eh, eh, eh..!
