President Trump

Dude who aced an "IQ test" - which in fact is likely a medically warranted cognitive disability test (supposedly, we're left taking his word for it) - has the fucking nuclear codes.

And now orders resumption of nuclear weapons testing.

I applaud the tough stance on Russia - but nuclear weapons testing is fucking obviously not the way to go - whether you're an American who wants fascism or not.

re 2028. It's not what the constitution says that matters, it's who will enforce it.

Though I think it's more likely that another Trump will be appointed president, rather than this one carry on formally in role.

A bit like Medvedev/Putin.

authorised the resumption of nuclear weapons testing, Nobel Peace Prize says Hi

fucking war-mongering shitgibbon ****
Oh God.

I've said since day one that if the USA can get him out of the job without him causing a world war they are doing well. It feels like the logical destiny for this whole charade.

The House and Senate Republicans are massively playing down because they know it could fuck them over in the mid terms if they keep pushing the third term narrative.

It definitely was a cognitive function test. Doctors do not, ever, give people an IQ test, as it is completely unrelated to any medical condition. The ONLY diagnosis it can give is, in fact, your IQ.
Whilst the world surely knows this, the Donald’s description of the ‘test’ should have confirmed it to all but those unwilling to hear.
I had to say person, woman, camera, man, tv.
So they say, ‘Could you repeat that?' So I said, ‘Yeah. So it's person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ ‘Okay, that's very good. If you get it in order, you get extra points.' "
He added, "They say nobody gets it in order, it’s actually not that easy. But for me it was easy. And that’s not an easy question."

What he’s describing is the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, which is a 10 minute assessment designed to identify signs of dementia. Now, there’s absolutely no reason he shouldn’t have taken it and, if there are no signs of dementia, no reason why he shouldn’t just say what it was. Thing is, I’ll bet he just can’t remember…

I was wondering if he'd refuse to take a dementia test, and nobody wants to be in the vicinity when anyone suggested it.

It will therefore have been phrased by the formal title and he's been allowed to believe it's an IQ test.

I had a memory test a few weeks ago. The reason I did was that my wife and daughter thought I was suffering memory loss and because my dad died of dementia when he was 80 (I’m 71 now). I have to say that my biggest fear when I was younger was waking up in a coffin, buried (which is why I have chosen cremation), but these days it is dementia. Anyway, to the point, I guess I aced it, as I got a score of 94/100. So can I say I’m a genius now??

I had one a couple of weeks ago after being in hospital for 3 weeks recovering from brain surgery. I also had to make myself a cup of tea and a piece of toast without setting anything on fire as part of the test. I must have done alright because they let me go home. I must be a genius too.

Hopefully you’re back to full health asap.

Sorry to hear that and hope you are feeling better.
And well done

As mad as that sounds it's probably the most plausible explanation as to why he insisted on calling it an IQ test. The alternative is he knew what it was but is just a deranged narcissist who believes (tbh with some justification) that a significant proportion of the population will buy any old crap that comes out of his mouth. Ay caramba, what a time to be alive.

Thing is, if he wasn’t such a narcissist, he could have said any President should be prepared to take the test, as being fully cognisant is a minimum requirement of the job.
Alternatively, because he’s an arse, he decided to go with the old “I’m the biggliest genius any doctor has ever seen” approach instead!

or just not have mentioned it, if it was part of a standard testing plan.

If it was connected to something else (you have this, so we test for this), then that just raises other questions.

Hope you're recovering well, this forum certainly needs your brain at times.
