Anybody down in the lower half of the prem would've done. Can we bring him back? even to sit on the bench for cover
We dont pay 100k of his wages! Spurs payed a loan fee so they didnt break there wage limit!! over the 12 month loan it works out we pay 10% of his wages
Are you working in K or % ????
bluecroi said:Pressure is on us. Spurs have done well. They have built this success, so far anyway, on a well built solid squad without spending the serious amount of money we have, and fair play to them for that.
We would love to take the morale high ground like they do I'm sure. Everytime our dominance is brought up it's followed by excuses, if we had the money they do.
The resentment is so clear and can be so bitter at times. We didn't fight for it, we didn't earn it so our arguement is null and void.
Everyone hates us, they don't make any secret of it. We didn't earn our success, so we're hated for being lucky.
But this club has been rebuilt time and time again. When there was very little reason for hope or any sign of progression. We still filled the stands we still turned up.
When accidents happen, people look away in the aftermath, they can't bare to see what tragedy is in front of them.
When team loose a big game, you change channel quickly or leave the game before celebrations begin, watching another team celebrate is almost too much to take, it's unbearable.
But it's in those situations, how people, communities even clubs react is what makes or breaks them. It shows what they are truely made of.
After the riots in and around London people could have stayed in and complained about frankly, how shite and hopeless things seemed, businesses ruined, streets destroyed, never mind the view on the next generation.
But instead, the next morning crowds of people turned up and joined the broom army and London fought back.
Character is built from losses and hardship, not privileges. It's not those who can inflict the most, it's those who can suffer the most, who will come out on top. They more than any know what it's like to loose.
You don't know how to rebuild something unless you had to build it in the first place.
Spurs have built a great team up, and fair play to them for doing it. We've bought a dream team from money that maybe we didn't earn, but who are any of them to tell us we don't deserve it. You never know how strong something is, unless you attempt to break it.
We broke before, but we fixed it..that's what's made us City. That's what makes us deal with pressure today and take it on head first.
It's amazing what a bit of sellotape and resiliance can do for ya.

Great post.
Personally, I've never hated Manchester City and if anyone but Spurs is going to win the Premier League this season, I'd far prefer it to be City than any of the other clubs in contention.

They need to win on Sunday, simples. Fail and they are 3- wins behind City for the leadership of the table and the Spiv is in a sweat!
