Pressure is on Manchester City - Harry Redknapp

I think most if not all man city players earn more than £80,000-a-week salary
which is by far big and better than most of the other players earn per week.

So, city players have to know that the have to delivery when it is highly needed from each of them. They have to show show passion and winning mentality when it matters.

It is shame to earn more than others and not to deliver when it matters and when the other city players are not available for various reasons.

Even though it is not time to criticize the players yet, I believe that in the last 2/3 games they didn't live up to expectations.

In the coming games, I personally expect all of them to deliver and live up to their salaries.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp said the pressure was on Manchester City after his side moved to within three points of the Premier League leaders.

On Wednesday, Spurs beat Everton 2-0 to draw level on points with second-placed Manchester United.

"The pressure is on Man City [because of] their squad and the money they have been able to spend," said Redknapp.

"They are expected to be there and win. We are just hanging in there at the moment and playing well."

When asked whether his team could win the title, Redknapp said: "Who knows? Nothing's impossible."

Its funny that as soon as we've been spending clubs hate us even thow utd have done it for years and no one just doest give a shit. And remeber how much money do's spurs spend, they spend loads so i don't know what redknapp is on about because you spend plenty of money on player so shut it redknapp. I just now don't give a shit what people say about us, all im interested in city noughing else.

Its even funnier when all of a sudden, Spurs are within touching distance of the top and he trying the mind games. Don't hear a squeak from him before that on this subject.

Also, Rafael has put in a further two penn'oth, very similar to 'Arry's spiel.

Must have photocopied it and sent it round the troops.

Load of shite being posted on this thread. He's doing a good job at Spurs.

Being honest, they were in the bottom 3 when he took over. Now they are challenging for the title. He's done an awesome job, and i don't see how anyone can say any different.

He's only saying the pressure is on us, because, well it is. Spurs are performing above expectation. We're having a very good season, but that was to be expected. He's just taking the pressure of his own team with those comments.

That said, they have a tough run coming up, so i'll start to worry about them if they come through it well.

Money is of no relevance to us.

It never will be.

Wow that has just released some pressure Twitcher

Modric anybody ?

Ono,

begrudgingly, we all know he is doing a great job.

It's just the fact that he has to come out every five minutes with another quote about how great a job he has done, how the pressure isn't on them, yada, yada, yada.

A fuckin' martyr would feel underappreciated after listening to him.

on the money fella.

On Wednesday walking away from the game I was as low as I have been this season and I believe the pressure is getting to us fans in a big way and we appear vulnerable.

I have had a couple of days to gather my thoughts.
I have continued to take in all the media propoganda (although I promised myself a short term news blackout) and I now see the light at the end.

Monday night is our biggest game of the season and I cant fuckin wait.
Bring it on.

Lets all stop this petty bickering at each other.
Its a game of football for Gods sake.

Stand up and be counted.

Your team needs you.

no pressure other than what is being applied by inconsistant refereeing decisions, even before the rags scored evra push his elbow into a city players face

Small comment, but very important and true. Winners do not dwell on the past and blame things out of their control.

Mancini's moaning will filter through to the players and if we're not careful it will fester into a self fulfilling profecy of failure, adopting 'the whole world's against us' mentality of losers.

Forget what's happened and deal with the here and now. The honest truth is Mancini knew about the ACON last summer so he should have planned for it. Every team has injuries and suspensions - we're luckier than most because we had more money to spend - if the squad can't cope then the manager is to blame because he didn't buy well enough. There are no excuses.........................................Also, some of our players are just not good enough and are not winners.

mourinho is the master of 'the whole world's against us' mentality and he is called a winner more than a loser AFAIK

It's gotten to the point where i just laugh at anything the droopy-faced one says, he's so fucking obvious.

Hes doing a good job due to alot of luck, very few injuries to key players, no suspensions and a good run of games against teams they should be beating. If it goes tits up he will have his excuses at the ready just like he always does and its why he always gets away with it.

If they win it will be the righteous harry having spent 10 quid and a bag of crisps defeats those rich sods at city, when they lost against us and the rags earlier on in the season then it was the modric thing is distracting us ive not been able to bring in the players id like to. Then he wins a few games and hes a managerial genius then they get a draw against swansea and they are tired, cant cope with the schedule with their small squad and lack of players, then they win against west brom and everton who were missing half a team 1 - 0 and 2 - 0 at home and hes a managerial genius again.

The man just says what people want to hear and people lap it up especially the press, he is doing a good job at spurs but has spent plenty to do it, yet he perpuates the myth that he hasnt.

The guy is nothing more than a spin doctor thats all he is and he has enjoyed some unbelievable luck over the past 2 years and he is enjoying it against this season if bale gets injured its game over for them and he knows it.

We are under pressure why are we under pressure cos the press say we are, or because we are all freaking out over a couple of bad results. Now lets look at these results in context shall we. The rags we were down to 10 men for 80 minutes without our captain and our first choice central midfield and best attacking player for the second half and they still only just came through. The liverpool game we were poor in the first half no doubt but it took a penalty for them to beat a team with its spine ripped out playing a young defender and missing its main attacking midfielder.

If thats a crisis ill take it all day.
