Price of Asahi Super Dry at ground

It was £5.30 last season and £4.77 with the 10% discount applied, so it’s a near 10% increase this season. They’re taking the piss a bit with that and it’s indicative of food and drink inflation in general. However, I paid £7 for a pint of Asahi at the same South Stand bar when watching Coldplay at the end of May and I doubt that there are many places in Manchester doing Asahi for less than £5.27 a pint to be fair.
deffo 4.77 with discount last season.

ive just moved to SS3 this season, I noticed there is a pick up point at half time for drinks....how does that work

Over a fiver a pint, but hundreds still piling out on 36 minutes and returning at 50 to drink it.
With all the extra injury time this season, they might even get back to their seats for the start of the second half.

This does assume that the bar staff aren’t slower than they were, which is highly likely.

If it’s like they do in theatres you pay in advance and they give you a number.

Though in theatres there’s honesty involved - they usually place the drinks on a counter with a number on and you collect yours.

Somehow I don’t see that working at football as some people are thieving little cunts.

£5.22 with discount this season.

A 45p rise.

That will increase the reported £700mill revenues in the next financial results. ;-)
Don’t think City get any money from the sales, just the contract tendered for them to sell drinks and food.

Yup, mineswept many a half time pint at Maine Road, when we were mostly thieving little cunts.

I'd love to know what sort of wrongun would venture into that shithole unless it's a match day.

It is by some distance the scruffiest dirtiest most awful pub I've ever been to in my life.
Me :) haven't been in there for a few years only went in before the Newcastle game to have a pint whilst I caught up with a couple of OSC lads and got out pronto

Whilst at the bar pregame order whatever beer/cider & you receive a circular token to hand in at the separate HT collection points. Works pretty well in all fairness. One of the few efficient processes implemented by City.
