Prices for the away leg in Madrid SOLD OUT.

You may find it unlikely but that is why it was implemented.
I keep answering your questions, so could you answer one or two for me.
Why do the home supporters not have to wear a wrist band and collect their tickets from a hotel.
Are they less of a risk
And why does the individual who introduced the system for City fans, not insist that teams visiting the Etihad, have to do the same as we do.
Hi,

Your points are very valid, also, why cant passport numbers be provided on purchase and printed on tickets and the passport be a requirement of entry, rather than queuing up in some far off land !

However you havn't exactly answered my questions, you have given me your opinion, where does it say categorically that Chelsea implemented the system because of the 'Metro incident'. Where does it say that only City, United and Chelsea are the only clubs doing it ? And how do we know that UEFA have not leaned on City to implement this, irrespective of the new guy arriving! You may well be right i just like facts rather than supposition.

Your first point is excellent, and something I've been asking for, a dialogue between the fans who travel and the club to ensure the new measures suit all.
However your second point is impossible to prove. It's like asking for every other eventuality to be proved wrong before the truth can be accepted.
However of the seven clubs English clubs that stored in Europe this year only two of them use this method. It is fact that one of those two clubs have used this method for several years. It is also a matter of fact that the person who introduced this moved to City before it was introduced with us. Your hypothesis is that it's been forced by UEFA goes against previous practice for City and for the four other clubs who didn't use this method.

But we are going round in circles.

Don't really give a toss why it was brought in. Without this new policy, all the tickets would have gone to people with 15000+ points, their mates and touts. At least everyone there deserves to be.

Neither of the clubs visiting PSG in the group stage had to go through the his rigmarole.
Only the last group game, which was after the attacks.

We only introduced it for Kiev due to short notice and £4.50 tickets, and PSG, using 'security' as the reason.

I've no problem with the new system, even though it means I won't get a ticket, but do wish the club would man up and stop hiding behind security, police demands etc and just admit it's our decision.

Maybe that should just cut the crap and electronically tag us so they know our whereabouts whilst in the host city. The more I think about it the more it's annoying me. If I decided to visit the opera in Madrid or Paris would I have to go through this rigmarole? Do they do this now for rock/pop concerts? I would have no problem my name printed on the ticket and providing id on the gate to prove its my ticket but the traipse to get tagged with a wristband and get the ticket is a step too far. I'll go through the process as I've no choice if I want to support the team. I'm not a criminal and don't see why I should be tagged like one.

Does it have to be passports to collect your ticket and get in the ground? I'd prefer to carry my driving licence or European ID card if I'm on the lash all day.
