Prime Aguero or present Haaland

I'll always opt for the more complete player. Which is why I rate Kane above any number 9 currently. So Aguero for me. But Haaland is still young enough to improve and his overall game this season has been better in some aspects, so he still has time. It's also that even though it doesn't happen often at all, when Haaland is bad, he's really bad.
 
We are lucky to have had two of the greatest strikers in history. But you can't compare them because they are totally different. Sergio was a genius but there has never been a bulldozing out and out striker like the Viking. Erling scores goals Sergio would never score and vice versa.

I think most would agree that Sergio was better in his general play then Erling. But Erling is a bit underrated in this regard, he gets a decent amount of assists. Not sure how they compare statistically on that front, but maybe some statto on here can tell us

Anyway, we are lucky we have had both, so i'm just happy about that rather than think too much about who is better. I think it's splitting hairs really. Both excellent. Haaland being a freak goalscorer that breaks records and Aguero being just a great forward in general.

Haaland has that global superstar x factor though. He's really our first crossover global superstar. The others like KDB, Aguero etc were fucking great players and everyone knows it but Haaland is superstar level, regardless of if you think he's better or worse.

The point about Haaland's global appeal is well made. He is the biggest player we have had in terms of global stardom. If Norway do well in the World Cup this summer Erling will move off the scale.
 
Aguero for me and it’s not even close. More involved, made the team much better and would make his own goals, score from everywhere and score all types of goals.

Haaland is a great goalscorer and comes across as a great teammate.
 
Haaland is more a box scorer where Sergio could score from all angles inside outside the box and had better control but the big fella is a global brand and that is priceless in today’s game. Sergio for me tho.

Sergio 100%. Much better footballer. Better link up play/close control. Dangerous inside and outside the box. Could create a goal from nothing himself. Much more involved in the game itself. Beats players with skill and not solely reliant on pace. Shame he was rather injury prone.
 
I'd throw prime Tevez in there too, at his best he was at least as good - just a pity his head was filled with nonsense.
