Prime Aguero or present Haaland

If KDB is in the team PRIME HAALAND. If KDB is not in the team AGUERO ALL DAY ANYDAY. in almost any team i would take prime aguero because hes just as much a goal threat around the box and even more so from the rest of the field and he requires zero help from his teammates to perfrom miracles.

I guess that crazy first season has unfairly set the bar at a daft level re our expectations of Haaland. Ignoring that first season, he's averaged 35 goals in his next three seasons (with hopefully a few more to come this season. Those are not shabby figures.

Erling was much more alert in the box at weekend, coming to the ball rather than dropping to the back post as he has been. His header was excellent, but it’s Sergio for me. He was an absolute class act.

If he could’ve stayed injury free his numbers would’ve been even higher. Superb player that would’ve walked into any team.

And intelligent enough to take on what Pep wanted despite having a rep as an "instinctive player".

I think Erling and Kun could have been a great partnership. We might let in a few with two dedicated strikers but they would have scored enough to win us most games.

Numbers and winning the treble would suggest the correct answer is Haaland but I just prefer the type of player Aguero was. Technically brilliant and a goalscorer.

The same reason why my favourite all time player is David Silva. Was never the scorer of the most goals or getting the most assists but my word what a player.

Depends what you want. In terms of pure goal scoring, well Erling is better. Aguero's best season still isn't as much as Haaland's worst. So there's really no debate to be had on that front.

I think most would agree that Sergio was better in his general play then Erling. But Erling is a bit underrated in this regard, he gets a decent amount of assists. Not sure how they compare statistically on that front, but maybe some statto on here can tell us

Anyway, we are lucky we have had both, so i'm just happy about that rather than think too much about who is better. I think it's splitting hairs really. Both excellent. Haaland being a freak goalscorer that breaks records and Aguero being just a great forward in general.

Haaland has that global superstar x factor though. He's really our first crossover global superstar. The others like KDB, Aguero etc were fucking great players and everyone knows it but Haaland is superstar level, regardless of if you think he's better or worse.

Haaland v Aguero is Silva v Kevin... Aesthetically Aguero and Silva pull on heart strings. But Kev and Haaland are just superior producers. Unmatched.

Proving once again what a great goalscorer Erling is.
He is, but he hasn't got the goals in him that Aguero had. Halland is probably a better finisher but no way is a better all round goalscorer.

Had Aguero not been subbed off at home to Newcastle on 5 goals after 62 minutes i feel he would have broken the PL record and scored 6 or more goals. I've never forgiven our interim manager Dr Death aka Pellegrini for subbing Sergio. It felt like a crime against football enjoyment had been committed to me.

not a slight on big erl or the comments on this forum but the disrespect Aguero gets is a crime, he’s overlooked when conversations happen about greatest premier league strike, greatest foreign premier league player etc - that racist toothy **** Suarez seems to always get his name mentioned, he had one season, Aguero had several, he’d be well clear of anyone barring Shearer if injuries hadn’t lost him maybe a season and a half, any defender I’ve heard speak Terry, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rudiger all said Aguero was clear of Suarez.

Love Haaland and Aguero but our Kun needs some flowers and respect on his name
