No they wouldn’t. They don’t get in dinghies to circumnavigate the system. They get in dinghies to force their application to be looked at.

If they came in on a dinghy after their application has been rejected, they would be deported immediately.

People coming in on dinghies don’t just disappear.

Or they KNOW that a tiny number of asylum seekers are rejected, which has been reported from time to time, but it suits Patel/Johnson to lmislead about it

It works though. Just look at @BlueHammer85 ‘s view on it. He doesn’t know that the people crossing on dinghies have to do so as there is no other way of them having their applications looked at.

He seems to believe that they can’t get here legally, so they cross on dinghies and disappear into thin air. That despite them never being able to get a job, medical treatment, benefits etc.

Therefore people do think that it’s a real problem, rather than a Tory manufactured one.

Of course she's got a plan. The plan is to stir up a conflict with the ECHR to provide Johnson with justification for pulling the UK out of that court's jurisdiction so he can legally remove more of our rights. The refugee issue is irrelevant to them but it is useful in that they have calculated that it provides red meat to enough of the electorate for them to get away with it.
