They might do more at smaller, lower league, clubs but on the whole, players just aren't bothered what the fans think.

Don't get me wrong, they want our support and generally like playing in front of big crowds, but when it comes to caring about what effect anything they decide to do might have on us? No chance.

Every single player at City today would walk tomorrow for more money and a greater chance of success. The same is true of nearly every player at nearly every other club in the world.

Players might claim loyalty the fans, but when it comes down money and the chance of medals, forget it!

Professional footballers are the ultimate glory hunters.

Matt Le Tisser is not a glory hunter he had the chance to move clubs more than once & at least double his money.

You just worked that out???????

That's why the over-priced primadonnas are here in the first place - here in the Premier League, not just here at City...and Barca, Madrid, Milan etc

You don t say?
Really, does anybody buy into this whole " he loves the club, fans " bollocks.

Different generation, maybe the last one to have any real loyalty. Anyone under the age of 26 or so now, well maybe not anyone, but the majority are money-driven loyalty-free mercs whose morality is corrupted by fame and fortune. Not just at our club, where we are apparently the home of mercenaries, but at virtually every top club. Look at Charlie Adam, the hero of refreshing little Blackpool! He was banging on Holloway's door trying to get out of Blackpool in January. Benoit Assou-Ekoto at Spurs is interesting as he freely admits to being a mercenary who plays more for money than any love of the game.

to quote a player:

me "what do you think when the crowd start to boo you?"

him "id boo them back and tell them thats why they're in the stands the cunts"

I agree with some players stance to not sign autographs for adults though.

The only one club wonders I can think of are:

John Terry, Stevie Gerrard, Scholes, G Neville, Giggs, Matt Le Tissier

Anyone else?

true of 90% of our squad, however certain there are individuals, de jong for example that really love the club. watch him at the end of every game and every interview he is a hero. would make him our captain me

could'nt agree more mate.

shouldnt every footballer aspire to play at the top level and win things, and therefore they may have to move to achieve this ?
if aspring to be successful is glory hunting, then every single foootballer is a glory hunter
