Prometheus trailer

This is a prequel to Alien, the premise is that the "Space Jockey" are a race that seeded the Galaxy with intelligent life .i.e. humans. They leave clues to get to their planet and when humans become intelligent enough they make their way to the Space Jockey home world. If you watch the trailer you will notice that there are loads of columns in a room very similar to the way the eggs in the original Alien film are when they first encounter the deserted Space Jockey ship, so it's rumoured the Space Jockey therefore created the Aliens.

well there's 2 completely parallel stories to this aren't there, because the later films claimed the Predators created the Aliens, though obviously the Space Jockey(that I have absolutely NO interest in) story has been around since the original Alien.

Are you talking about the AvP movie? I think that may well be left out of the equation tbh, I did have a thought watching he trailer again, they seem to find something to do with DNA and how things start out small, it just a thought but what about if the people who visit are changed some way via DNA and they become the first Aliens?

hmmm...well the original Alien had a whole section full of eggs in that odd looking ship they found, but the objects on the floor look different in the trailer, so I don't know if the facehuggers are stored differently by the space jockeys...but in the original Alien film there was a cut scene where it showed the lone Alien could harvest humans into eggs, so maybe something like that again, that was only cut so they could do the Alien queen in Aliens, which was cool, but they really need to find one coherent storyline and background to the species.

Im sure we will get answers as Ridley Scott is doing it so he will do a great job of linking it this original.
