it was the director who said it, and the cast aren't are on strict non-disclosure agreements, so if he's said that then its certainly NOT a spoiler.

If your a fan of Alien you will know about The Space Jockey and thats what it will focus on and why that spacecraft had all those Alien eggs in it, but more importantly where the Alien comes from
The rumours flying around are that its man-made and something to do with The Weyland-Yutani Corporation

yeah...I'm not keen on the Space Jockey, but I like Weyland-Yutini as the nasty corporation, it's gonna be a different film to what I expected, but if it builds up a new franchise direction which works and eventually integrates the key species in the whole thing, then it's worth the wait.
