It is set in the Alien universe but set 30 years before "Alien"
If your a fan of Alien you will know about The Space Jockey and thats what it will focus on and why that spacecraft had all those Alien eggs in it, but more importantly where the Alien comes from
The rumours flying around are that its man-made and something to do with The Weyland-Yutani Corporation

yeah...I'm not keen on the Space Jockey, but I like Weyland-Yutini as the nasty corporation, it's gonna be a different film to what I expected, but if it builds up a new franchise direction which works and eventually integrates the key species in the whole thing, then it's worth the wait.

Yeah and hopefully put to bed the awful Alien vs Predator films

yeah, must admit I liked that concept, but er...they murdered it, which is shame because it kills off any future interaction between 2 species that could have a good story between them if done properly and 2 which I like.

The facehugger in the trailer looks different to the ones in Alien. Maybe the ones in Alien were made through them or they've mutated.

Anyway, looks interesting.

he's a bit old now, I don't think he's in it, but all this prequel stuff makes the whole timeline quite confusing.

Fox have made Scott make 2 versions of the film, 12 and 18 rated as they are nervous that a $200M film wont make much money as an 18 rated film
For me this film MUST be an 18(or 15 at least) This has the potential to be Alien 3 all over again

well the trailer looks creepy, so if the film's like that at 12 it'll be a very tough watch in an 18 lol.

Fox are like that though, the problem with Alien 3 was the story fundamentally, if it had been done properly it would have been a lot closer to the first 2.
