What ranges do you think would be more suitable? I’m not in a situation where I have to move just want too

In Wythenshawe houses been going for 180k plus ex council houses! so 18k deposit on most of them as lenders have tightened up due to covid. I'm in the process of buying a house in Cheshire and commuting in for work, get more value for money if you can handle a commute. Plus it is a well better area than where i currently live.

I would live in Manchester again but I’m just not finding value. I liked Failsworth loads. On the Oldham Road corridor plus the tram.

I don’t know German rules but my 34 year old son living in NY cannot bring his US PhD wife over here to the UK unless he has £60K in the bank or a UK job.
