Take someone with you if you can there’s a lot to take in , take a pen and paper lazer and if you can go on the prostate cancer uk website do some reading up and note down some questions you’d like to ask.
Hope I’ve not stated the obvious. Good luck keep posting we’re all in this together mate.

Pissing takes a bit longer and then there's a long trickle afterwards. No other symptoms, though. I had a check about 4 years ago and it was fine. I was hoping i could ...fuck it...I'll just get it done. cheers mate.

I'm sure he used his thumb the last time. I've had about 10 full pisses today. Maybe more.

Wishing you and others well. You are right getting it checked. If you don't get it checked then you will be wondering and worrying constantly.
I've recently gone through it and in my experience I was worse when I was in that no man's land of not knowing if I had it or not.
Once diagnosed I felt relieved that as I knew then that a treatment path would follow shortly. It may seem to take ages to find out but once he treatment starts it goes pretty quickly.
I was just approaching my 63rd birthday when I got the call to say my PSA was above the threshold. From that time to hopefully receiving positive news following treatment will be approx 1 year. If I live to be 80 then thats about 1.25% of my life which I can cope with.
Remain as positive as you can . For those of you with doubts as to whether you should have it checked because the NHS is struggling for time and finances then think what would happen if you left it for 12-18 months and further symptoms developed. The time taken and the cost to the NHS would be far greater and you would be kicking yourself for not being checked earlier.
 
I’ll repost a little bit of the start of my story, when we met both teams surgical team stepping hill and the Christie’s team .
The consultant asked me to tell her my story which we did , I’ll never forget her words in saying Gary you’ve saved your own life we wouldn’t be having this conversation when you get to 56 ( I was 52 then now 55) .
I’ll never forget looking into my wife’s eyes at that point. I had no symptoms I just wanted a change in lifestyle so off I popped to doctors for an mot. This is how it all started , sorry for being brutal but cancer is it doesn’t discriminate, thought I’d just repost this for those who are new to the thread.

Fuck it, I've just booked a fortnight in Morocco, leaving Wednesday morning so be back in plenty of time for my next appointment, this weather is totally depressing on top of everything else, going to Agadir, never been Morocco before, anyone on here been
