Well with all due respect mate, I’m going to take the word of the climate change community on it.

I do appreciate your point and the methane aspect was mentioned on Attenborough. They did say that what is releasing it is the ice melting that’s covering it. In simplistic terms, our damage is making the methane situation worse.

We’re at about a 3rd of renewable energy in the UK now, my point isn’t to competely stop all fossil fuels right now today but in 3 years be at say 60% and then in 3 more 100%.

Whose going to pay for 70 year old Doris and minimum wage Derek to get rid of their gas boiler and install a air/ground pump heat exchange system?

I know someone who did it voluntarily last year.

It cost them tens of thousands to install a ground heat exchange system, underfloor electric heating and solar panels.

2 degrees rise, aside from anything else, means a large rise in sea levels. Millions of acres of coastal human habitat gone. That drives up population density elsewhere, while reducing the available space for farming and food production.
