Marco Verratti will not feature against City. He didn't make Blanc's 18-man squad and will instead watch from the stands. [Football Italia]
glad hes not included would have given them a huge boost. although prefered he was as the media will just say it be different story if included, where as if say kun was out it barely get a mention

It really all depends on which team Pellegrini sends out. Unfortunately it would be an exception if he does the sensible thing of setting up a team for defensive solidity, so I am not very confident. PSG without Luiz, Matuidi and Verratti is a team against which we should have a chance in principle. If Mangala can keep Zlatan under control ... Oh man I am nervous about this.

Big test for Pellegrini tonight. Can he show his tactical nouse. He's done so occasionally in Europe.
Most people are expecting us to play Hart, Sagna, Ota, Mangala, Clichy, Fernando, Fernandinho, Yaya, Silva, De Bruyne, Aguero.

I don't want KDB and Silva both as it could weaken our defending a bit. One of them and Navas would do as we should be playing for a counter attack and Navas suits better in that scenario. If we go a goal down, then sub Navas and bring the other one in.

You are right to be nervous. Not sure how we should approach this one. Go for it they pick us off. Defensive set up? but we can't defend. I think the crowd have a really big role to play to night. Get behind the lads even Bony if he appears and try to suck them over the line. I think we will get a few chances and if we take them we will go through. Keep the faith!!!

I was with you up until this point.

Who else is a nervous wreck. We are going to lose and the heads will drop and our league form will suffer and we will miss out on the CL spot to the rags or we will get lucky and qualify and with luck get wolfsburg in the semis, players coming back from injuries and finish the season strong.

I keep goig back and forth either feeling exited or anxious to the point of feeling nauseus

We can't be tactically naive here by going gung Ho attacking. We have to show how much we have grown in Europe and our experiences.

Need to be patient as it stands we are winning the tie and going through to the next round, the onus is on PSG as they need to score so we need to use that to our advantage and play smartly

Hart
Sagna/zab
Oti/Sagna
Mang
Clichy
Fern 1
Fern 2
Ya ya
Silva
Kdb
Serge

Solid and ball retention essential tonight which means silva and toure released from major defensive duties. Hopefully with kdb and serge their creativity will create the goal we really need. I like navas pace/work rate but he never scores and his end product is below par compared to the others.
Re cb issue it was only villa but Sagna was impeccable there and would even go with Toisin ahead of the gambler.

We can do this!

As long as KdB plays centrally we will win the game.

I'm confident.

PSG looked really tired when we got to the last ten mins in Paris. They're not used to playing decent opposition and can coast games. I'd play Navas from the bench for added pace to stretch the game late on. I don't think we want to be too defensive. We'll have the two Ferns in the side, and Yaya dropping in when we don't have the ball.

It is probably just the bias in me, but it seems to me that PSG have been talking a lot of shit these past few days. Blanc saying "i've watched the 1st game again, we should have won!"..."Zlatan is out to win for us. He will be more clinical" Thiago saying "Zlatan moving to the premier league would be a step down from PSG"

I truly hope we curb-stomp the shits. We were greatly missing Yaya's composure and ball retention in the first game. I've no fear of Verratti...there is no way he starts this game.

Not nervous at all. This game to me is sort of a free hit scenario to me, I expected us to get battered by psg and I still see us going out tonight. If we go out then fair enough, but we go through and it makes this season sort of okay after all.

....dinho........fernando.......
............yaya..............
KDB..................silva
............Aguero...........

Play that and we win.... As suggested, navas the last 20/25, if needed, to stretch them.. Big gaping hole there tonight for yaya to be dominant up field, I think he'll beast them..
