PSG (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Win our game and were through. No ifs or buts
True but it'll be exciting seeing who does and doesn't.
Its a little bit of a lottery. Looking at the table at the moment the nearer we are to the 24th position, the better chance we have of getting an " easier" team in the play offs. Good chance we'll avoid the likes of Madrid and Munich

I've said this before on another thread but there is no leadership on the pitch without Dias. The difference between the two halves of last night's match was incredible. In the first half with Dias we were organised and played some good stuff throughout the team. Yes, PSG had chances but so did City.
The 2nd half without Dias was nothing short of astounding. All discipline was gone and at times we were like an under 7s team with everyone wanting to play up front and those in defence doing so under duress, especially when we went 2-0 up.
The midfield became non existent and Ederson just kept kicking long balls down the middle of the pitch that didn't even reach our forwards.
Then we did get the ball, several of the players just tried to take everyone on, even at the edge of our own area and kept being tackled.
I hear people saying age has caught up with the squad, but with age comes experience, but some of the players seem to have lost all sense of professionalism. If you know your legs are going and you can't press as effectively as you used to, then adapt your game to suit, don't keep running yourself into the ground chasing lost causes. Hold your position and keep the midfield tight.

18 of their shots were 2nd half as well.
I actually thought Paris were as bad as we were until they scored. They were fucking awful at times (not just defensively for our two goals but also some of their passing and attempts at dribbling with us just taking the ball off them with ease, was almost pathetic) but you could tell they are well coached and could see what their plan was.

They did outplay us completely like I’ve only seen at Villa away last season in Pep’s entire tenure with us from their first goal onwards though. We had no answer whatsoever to anything they did.

Unfortunately I’ve a feeling it’s just not going to be as simple as some people think. We are a shadow of the team we were last season and could quite easily be humbled if they get on the front foot.
There seems to be quite a lot of taking this for granted. This side are no mugs. Beat Villa, Sporting and drew with Juve. Drew with Celtic away too in a what would no doubt be a hostile atmosphere.

Good point. Unfortunately he is getting injured like Stones and Ake. It's a real issue now.

Yeah they beat 3 teams who beat us, and they are undefeated in 19 games not gonna be easy might be better if we go out and focus at top 4. CL is impossible this year it is what it is.

Have you watched Walker play this season?
Yeah !!!

I watched Rico and Nunes, in the stadium on Wednesday and it was like watching under 8’s defending :0(

I will really find it hard to watch either next week against Bruges at RB!!

I find it very difficult to believe that Walker currently would have been that bad ???

No matter, KW’s gone now!!!

Bring on Chelsea and bring on the Uzbek Usain Bolt/Tank :0)

Personally I want us out of the Champs League ASAP. Were not going to win it, so what's the point. Less games, less injuries, less tiredness. Just qualify for next years Champs League and maybe win the FA Cup. Plus we've got the big money making Club World Cup in summer !!!!
