I've said this before on another thread but there is no leadership on the pitch without Dias. The difference between the two halves of last night's match was incredible. In the first half with Dias we were organised and played some good stuff throughout the team. Yes, PSG had chances but so did City.
The 2nd half without Dias was nothing short of astounding. All discipline was gone and at times we were like an under 7s team with everyone wanting to play up front and those in defence doing so under duress, especially when we went 2-0 up.
The midfield became non existent and Ederson just kept kicking long balls down the middle of the pitch that didn't even reach our forwards.
Then we did get the ball, several of the players just tried to take everyone on, even at the edge of our own area and kept being tackled.
I hear people saying age has caught up with the squad, but with age comes experience, but some of the players seem to have lost all sense of professionalism. If you know your legs are going and you can't press as effectively as you used to, then adapt your game to suit, don't keep running yourself into the ground chasing lost causes. Hold your position and keep the midfield tight.
