PSG Away Ticket details - Update now 2,200 tickets available

I think that if we're going to carry on with this system, selection of the collection point is really important.

No reason why we shouldnt be able to find somewhere at or near the stadium.
Most people won't be near the stadium until an hour or so before the game, if it was near nobody would go until then, and you'd end up with queuing. Its not convenient to go to a stadium at other times in most cases (Monchengladbach would have been a nightmare for instance), which is why its always likely to be more central to where people are staying. Also the police won't want people hanging round the stadium as a its a security risk, better its a location away from it, as it also stops home idiots coming for a bit of bother, (one of the reason we've removed the actual location in Paris from this thread). Yes its a bit inconvenient but its that where ever it is

Best hope we don't draw Napoli again if you want to collect near the stadium. Where was the mad rush from all these desperate for a Euro trip then, 1100 sold out of 3000?

It's a double edged sword for some of our lot. On the one hand, a mate of mine has around 11500 points and didn't qualify for a Sevilla ticket but this new system means he probably could've got one. He did get one but had to use someone else's card. Going forward, it should help him considerably and it'll be him getting the points rather than someone else.

Unfortunately it hinders 2 other mates who like to do the European aways and are much further down the loyalty point chain plus not on the CL cup scheme. One has 8000-plus points and the other 5000-plus. For Sevilla both travelled without tickets but had that hope that they could pick one up on the day and after a lot of networking on the day of the match we managed to secure tickets in the away end for both of them (somewhat laughably, one of the tickets we got was indirectly from a City fan that had travelled the day before but was too hungover to be arsed getting out of bed to attend the match!). With the new system, that hope they had of getting a ticket is pretty much removed unless we decide to do an obscure European away which not many will travel to.

They haven't put enough effort in over the last 15 years or so to warrant then getting a ticket for a game like Sevilla away though so sorry if it sounds harsh but tough luck.

They do however still have the opportunity to do other European games such as juventus & Kiev this season and in seasons gone by they'd have got tickets for Napoli, Moscow and probably even Madrid & Bayern. What's wrong with those trips?

There's a case for a small percentage going to ballot which I wouldn't argue against as it would give everyone at least a chance of attending the more prestigious games but overall the more that can be done to make sure supporters that have the points get to go if they choose to the better.

Some groups of mates might miss out on going together and some supporters clubs might not be able to fill their planes, trains and automobiles but so what, that's life.

I know somebody in exactly that position, who took over someone elses card, but can't go, having booked travel etc, he didn't change the name on his ticket. I'm sure there are hundreds.

Actually, it’s probably just as likely, when an elderly supporter decides that he’s been to one away game too many, but allows his Son/Grandson to utilise the points for away games.

Again, nobody bats an eyelid until the system changes.

Well I wasn't looking for any sympathy! Just explaining the situation as it is. They wouldn't have qualified for Madrid but one qualified for Munich when we won 3-2 and it was one of the best European trips of the lot. Moscow was too expensive for any of us, Kiev a ballache to organise with only knowing late on that we could attend, and Napoli is stab city - none of us want to walk around with eyes in the back of our heads throughout the whole trip! Juve isn't too bad though - I did it when we played them in the UEFA Cup in 2010 and it wasn't a bad trip.

As you say, it is what it is but I do take a little exception to the "not putting enough effort in over the last 15 years" comment. It's not so much a lack of effort as personal circumstances dictating things for both of them meaning that away trips have been largely off the agenda. They've both been season ticket holders for over a quarter of a century so it's not like they're fairweather fans.

You've all had some decent trips then by the sound of it and they'll still be opportunity in the future should city decide to keep this system.

Napoli was a good trip, we stayed in Rome for two nights and Naples just the one. Prob not one to go and get absolutely arseholed singing city songs but the atmosphere they created in the stadium is the best I've witnessed so far.

Who knows, we could be in the Europa league next season anyway so this really won't be an issue at all.

I don't think it is as simple as that, but don't think we'll agree.

I agree in principle, the only issue being the extra points for Platinum.

This is the first season where I’ve missed a few away games, but being Platinum, I will have accrued more points than a Non-Platinum Seasoncard holder who’s been to every one.
Even though, I'm benefiting , I don't think it's right.
