PSG readying an offer for Aguero? The Times

I'm surprised that the usual cabal didn't question your allegiances after furious denunciations. I'm mildly disappointed @karen7 and @oakiecokie.

Honestly though, this isn't going to happen. I do think there is a small chance that Sergio leaves this summer (despite the statements of the club), but he certainly won't be leaving to PSG.

Qatar and PSG are at a state of economic war. Barcelona shirts are banned in Saudi Arabia, because of their links with the Qatar Foundation. Publicly expressing sympathy for the Qataris is now illegal in the UAE. These states have a deeply ingrained tribal mentality. It would be a national embarrassment if UAE royalty was to be seen doing business with Qatari royalty at this time.
Still supply the UAE with gas

It's fucking madness I think the sun has gotten to a few heads on this forum the ease at which some would ditch someone who has done it time and time again he only let himself down with the sendings off this year. 122 goals in 181 he's a legend
For me, he is the best player I have ever seen. I would not trade him for any other striker, ever, in the world. And I ve been watching him since he was 16.

PSG's new DoF is a pretty serious guy. He previously worked at Porto where he developed an excellent reputation and as such he has been given total control of player trading at the club. The first thing he did was pull the plug on a move for Aubamayang that Kluivert had lined up so he will have to deliver a world class attacker otherwise he won't look very good. It's also true that Kun's agent (one of them anyway) is close to Henrique.

You can't completely rule it out but it is going to take huge effort from PSG to sign Aguero from us.

There's some right fucking idiot City fans on social media

Aguero is one of the best strikers in the world..arguably the best there has ever been in the UK

If he played for ANY of the traditional top 4 he would be hailed as a legend and talked about in the same fond light as Ian Wright or Theirry Henry

I want Sanchez..he's a great player..but he's not even fit to clean Kun's boots..never mind lace them
The last paragraph made me smile. Exactly the same thoghts. Just imagine Aguero playing for the rags.

Whilst I agree, it would be nice to sell a player for optimum monies.
I think Sergio is at his peak and whilst selling him now may be a little early, if he were to be adequately replaced, I think we may thrive.

I do believe the plan is to replace him with Mbappe & Sanchez who both offer a goal threat getting close to that of Aguero, but much more flexibility.
Whether we think he's right or wrong, Pep loves flexibility and we know Sergio doesn't offer that. He's very hard to rotate is our Sergio and we've all seen the media nonsense the moment he's on the bench.

I agree, he's the best in the business, but I don believe Pep sees it a little different.
Money should be nowhere a consideration for us fans. 6 ,60,600 million makes no difference. We would miss kun.

There are contracts with this sort of thing. It isn't easy just to cut off the gas (legally or otherwise). It is, however, very easy to refuse to do transfer dealings.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia even stopped exports of food to Qatar. The Qataris are now completely reliant on shipments of food from Iran and Turkey.

The Emirati airspace is closed to Qatar-owner airlines and the Emirati waters are closed to Qatar-flagged vessels. Do you really think, after all of this, that football-related business is unaffected by the current hostile climate.

Not saying we wouldn't.
We would miss his goals as an individual, but that doesn't mean the team wouldn't thrive.

I can see both sides. I have however said that it looked last season like Aguero was adapting so fingers crossed there's Jonners to replace him.
It speaks volumes for the lad that I think, many think or would only be happy if he were to be replaced by Sanchez & Mbappe.
