That's brilliant. I was just about to post something asking people to calm down a bit but (dare I say) you've defused the situation. They the ones that people ask dose me bomb look big in these !!

Fk me I think it's time I invested in a red nose, baggy pants, long red shoes and consider running off to join billy smart...
Totally agree, I think we get great value for the product with my seats costing £33 per game between me and me lad and there being God knows how many cheeper in the new tier.. And on top of that I can pay it monthly ... I'm repeating myself but that to me represents great value
Totally think this is a knee jerk reaction to a shite season.
There are many arguments why tickets should be cheeper with all the money in football nowadays but that's not the issue in my eyes the issue is are we being ripped off and I disagree
I' think the people that are getting ripped off are those who are paying nearly as much if not more then actually going to a live game in Tv subscriptions. Of which I am also one.
It would be good publicity to freed prices for next year but nothing more and certainly not good business sense, but if they didn't and there was a small increase then I'd not complain to the point where I'd be walking out or protesting, and yes that's cos it won't put me in a position where I can't afford it. If it did I'd have to suck it up or cut back on the boozing or some of my other bad habits to find the £40 odd pound a month, and like most I'm sure I could swallow a extra £5 per month if needed.
Iv been in the position from the ages of 18 to 28 where I could only afford to pick and chose what games I went to, I didn't start organising protests because I wasn't working so it's not fair or I'm on a low income so let's protest, in fact there was nobody stamping there feet when there was thousands of us out of work but could not attend. Did it bother me ? No when I was financially stable I got my ST back and that's accent history.
Again repeating myself - would I be happy for price cuts? Hell yes, Would I be willing to drag my club through the mud to get it? Hell no
Would I back a national campaign that wouldn't shine the spot light of shit on our owners? Yes again..
I think people are looking at he Liverpool situation and thinking yea thats great ( and fuck me why would you want to mimic the scousers to begin with )
There situation is entirely difrent to ours, they have fallen from grace, perhaps see ther club not being run so well, and have something to complain about where as our situation seems to me to be totally different and looks to a lot of other fans as ungrateful little brats throwing there toys out. And it dose come across that way with some of the noise makers on here, Although I know that's not the case of many and many have genuine consernes of where prices are heading. If people can not genuinely afford the prices we have now then I do feel for them, but I don't think we are getting ripped off by our club and we are paying the going rate for the product
We are not Liverpool and I think the media will in some way make this a anti city thing, in fact in certain they will so totally disagree with giving them the amonition to do so, God knows they don't need much to have a go at us to begin with.
Would it be nice if everyone in the world had a job with decent pay and could go and watch there team , course it would, I'd be happy for that, then I'd be joining in with the complaints of can't get a ticket.
Just like to know where the protesters think the cut off price should be and would they be concerned about those who couldn't afford that price, as I know for a fact there are plenty out of work that couldn't afford £15 a ticket!! What about those people ... Big can of worms if you ask me and there are always going to be those who can't afford it one way or another, so what's the answer to that??
I'm more worried about the cue for the tram with all these early leavers, yep pure selfish reasons. I'm trying to get everyone to stay in the ground for a stop in protest
honk honk
From what I've read on here, unfortunately, the views seem to swing from the belief that the club should almost give tickets away because 'they don't really make much difference to the club's overall income'
No one has suggested this.
Although time and time again I've heard people opposed to a protest make out this is what people are asking for.
I think part of the problem, is those wanting to protest against prices don't really seem to be saying what they are asking for. The twenty a plenty campaign had one clear aim, and most were happy with the £30 compromise If the club sat down tomorrow and said lets see if we can come to an agreement what do the fans want, there isn't any plan to negotiate around. No one has suggested this.

Love your posts. Well made points but with a sense of humour and frankness.
From what I've read on here, unfortunately, the views seem to swing from the belief that the club should almost give tickets away because 'they don't really make much difference to the club's overall income' to those who think the current prices are acceptable but shouldn't increase. It's a very subjective issue. However, I genuinely believe that the club and Soriano, do care about the fans - as reflected for example, in the free web site (utd & dipper fans have to subscribe to a TV channel to get similar information); £299 tickets etc.
I can't understand why Soriano has taken such flak from some quarters (well, one poster in particular). Our ticket prices, up to this season, are probably lower than any other of the so called top clubs.
Having said that, and in view of the money from the TV deals, lets hope that the club are listening and act sensibly re next season's ticket pricing. Just hope we finish in the top 4 because the loss of CL income could have quite an impact.
