Remuneration is normally based on skills or level of education. Some jobs also pay well because they are generally minging and nobody is prepared to do them. Others pay well because of level of risk such as hazmat drivers.Not being funny and sorry if this offends anyone but hence why the forces go after the dumb and stupid, the econmically poor, or poorly educated when recruiting. It's the same tactic used over generations and the same in most countries. Look at Vietnam!
