Kevin Cummins Sex Pistols photobook (Huddersfield Xmas Day 1977)

Here's one for ya.
Which reasonably well known Manchester musician [not quite from the punk era] appears in the Great Rock n Roll Swindle in the footage from Huddersfield???
[he's the one putting cake in Rotten's face]

Mark Edward Smith?

Anyone remember Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds? I had a single called K'innell Tommy & I always thought it was them but it turns out it was after Eddie Garrity (Ed Banger) had left and that single was by Ed Banger & His Group Therapy.

Edit: Just for MES...spot The Smiths connection :)

Yes - Ed Garrity is Edwina Garrity these days.
He left Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds to join Slaughter & The Dogs for a while.
Billy Duffy then joined a reformed The Nosebleeds and recruited a young lad from Stretford called $teven as the singer.
Played 2 gigs one at the Ritz supporting Magazine and one at the Poly supporting Slaughter

It wasn't "Steven" the mysterious cake flinger was it? Mind you I can't imagine him being that frivolous.

Anyone remember Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias? Not sure they were a true punk band but they were around at the time. Very funny too.

I'm having a trip down Punk / New Wave memory lane..

When So It Goes was on Granada presented by Tony Wilson (good lad for a Rag) you could only get tickets to watch it being filmed at the original Electric Circus in Collyhurst from Granada. I got on this early and went to loads and there would be hundreds outside trying to get in but a relative handful actually watching inside. The best two I went to were when Penetration, John Cooper Clarke and at least three other bands played on one night and then to watch The Jam on another.
