No mate, was only 12 or 13 at that time. I remember all the news and ho har, especially around the Jubilee, but for a lad brought up on The Carpenters, The King's Singers, The Beatles and ELO and also living in a sleepy Hampshire backwater at the time meant that it wasn't until a few years later that the full majesty that was the Punk Movement hit me.

Anyone remember, and bare with me here.......was it Streets ahead or Factory records in Alty. Down opposite Paddy Crerands pub, the Park. All been redeveloped around Tescos now but used to hang around in there.

That was the problem of suburban punks who lived in the Sticks. All the big cities got the best gigs.
