This will be good all round if it happens!

And it will happen eventually!

Don't get your comment. Explain why Ajay... This is only good for utd. Surely, the best scenario is for the Glaziers to stay for a many years to come.

Its good because it adds a higher level of competition but we will be on similar levels...

The scum will no longer be able to hide saying we splash the cash as both clubs will have money to spend, and do not forget the regional 'rivalry' between the UAE and Qatar - by the way the UAE and our owners are much stronger!

We all know that United offer a good business opportunity for the right people and eventually it would be sold.

I agree, this does not worry me if it comes to fruition. Wanting to see United crippled with debt and going on a slow decline might be everyones dream, but realistically it won't happen.

With both Manchester clubs strong and competing for the top trophies it will make it all the sweeter for us when we win and all the harder when we lose..but that's what being a football fan is about.

It will stop any accusations of us buying a trophy or title as Sky and the media won't want to level that at their beloved utd also.

It means you can have some decent banter with the other side, and the really annoying ones can still be ignored/laughed at/hit what ever your preference.

There are now many, many foreign owners in English football. Only one is backing their club to the immense financial power possible. The others are just tinkering with an investment or raking in revenues.

The chances that new owners come in and splash money around are remote. City were ripe with potential after 30 years of shite. United are at the top, what possible reason to pump money in?

What I don't get is they could've bought the red dippers, a brand new stadium and new team for half of what they're quoting for the rags..

The figures don't add up to me...but I agree that the rags will be sold eventually...just depends who too.

In the meantime,fuck them.

let's not forget that this is also a publicity stunt for Qatar, they have won the World Cup and are doing all they can to raise their profile within the sporting and tourism sectors - buying or attempting to buy United is a big marketing coup for them....

This leads me to believe that they are buying for the wrong reasons - our owners bought us as a long term investment and as a 'real' club full of 'real' fans - they are not looking to build us and sell us whereas Qatar may have different plans...
