That does not matter at all.

This is not league game so Spurs are going to go for it and they will get chances because they know City have to score at least three to feel safe and to advance City will have to get four.

Spurs would have had to go for it at 0-0 anyway.

0-0 would have been better but I'm absolutely backing us to at least beat Spurs, hopefully with a result that puts us through.

It is psychologically draining if you know you have a quadruple in front of you . It is huge. Our boys are not machines. We even played an under strength side tonight and it very nearly came off as we were slightly the better side. The tension in the camp has been lanced and they've all been brought back down to earth. We are playing as if we are waiting for the other shoe to drop. It has. Reality sets in fairly quickly and people return to doing what they do best.
Can you imagine how these professionals will react if they are picked. Just wait until Sunday when a beast is unleashed against Palace
We go again blues!

This results all boils down to the Manager, forget rotation, win away leg with best team then in 2nd leg you can rotate. If he's supposed to be taking one game at a time, palace match does not come into play. Imo.

YeH coz footballs thAt simple

It’s our manager being so good that leads you to be so arrogant about how easy wins are away in the champions league

Shit or bust next week now. Might suit us, let the handbrake off a bit.

That's the only positive I'm taking away. Our best performance this season come against Liverpool when we had no choice but to go for it. Will have to hope for a performance like that next week.

Whilst I accept the level of drop-off in our CBs isn't that dramatic, what has happened to Stones? Why didn't he play today regardless of who played left-back? This happened last season, Stones was mint but made a few mistakes* after coming back from injury and was hardly seen for week

*I don't remember any recent mistakes to justify dropping him

Spot on , no idea why Stones isnt starting games , i know he has had personal issues well documented in the media (funny how its only City players make the headlines when they dump their Mrs.) , so if his head isnt right he wont play , but if everyone is fit and in form Stones and Laporte are our best centre back pairing all day long.

This. No surprise they were winning when he was out injured. Think they look better with Son up front alone than Kane
He’s not a team player either as was proven in the WC. Who’ll shoot on sight he’s too greedy

Surely someone else needs to take penalties as Sergio’s record isn’t great
And message to Pep no more Delph

I agree, his pen in the Chelsea shoot out was poor as was the one against Swansea. He never goes for top bin and favours the left of the keeper. Gundo takes a decent pen, as does Raz. Never feel confident lately when Serge is taking the pen. Todays effort was very poor, most goalies would have saved it.

He clearly hasn't been for weeks now, why do you think we've been rotating so much?

Far easier going stronger in the 2nd leg because we'll be playing a team at the weekend who have also gone full pelt in mid-week (Spurs again).

When he went off and seen Moura getting ready I thought to myself 'Ah ffs'...
Makes them more dangerous on counter attacks next week. Kane is their target man he slows their game up and he's sh*t at doing it. Pity Delph didn't do a number on Son instead.

No one to blame tonight but Pep.

Whats the point of bringing KDB & Sane on the 88 minute !
Why not at least bring them after Spurs 1st goal ?

We achieved 100 points last season in the league with Leroy on the left & Sterling on the right, why change your best formula Pep ?

Why are so many people blaming Delph, he didn’t take a f’in horrendous penalty.

Two penalties this season may cost us the league and CL. They may slap have no impact on our season

Because the goal IS his fault. Son had no room to maneouvre on the goal line. He should've been straight out to him and ushered him to the touch line.
Any decent full back would close that down straight away.
