QPR vs City: Post match discussion [Merged]

I never watch games with English commentary on anymore. Foreign commentators are better- you can still hear the crowd but can't understand the idiocy.

Richards was awful. Tucked in way too narrow, relied heavily on Yaya/Silva/Johnson to cover his arse.
Savic was good in possession, but as I feared, he dives in too early. Could easily have given away a pen.
Silva hasn't been great for a couple of games now. Same for Aguero. Hopefully just a blip.
Johnson - TRACK BACK YOU FUCKER.

Positives were Hart, Milner.

Our defence needs to go back to basics. I think it'd be a mistake to see this shakiness is purely a result of Kompany missing. It goes deeper than that.
The defence defended brilliantly. What went wrong was that we only passed the ball intermittently. We didn't control the ball for any length of time so with our attacking formation it was very easy to get straight at our back 4

Last season, we lack of winnning mentality.

Today we got 3 points from winning mentality. This is what we looking from our team for quite a long time.

Re: QPR vs City: Post match discussion

Milner at his best for me today, Silva is just superb every game and once again out of nowhere YaYa comes up with the winning goal, often infuriating but he is a winner and is driving this team forward.
Brilliant job City after the midweek trip.

Good win but lucky to get three points today. Poor performance.

Hope Kompany and Lescott stay fit becuse the thought of Savic or Toure being in the side for long doesnt appeal.

If we come back from Naples and play like that v Liverpool, we wont get 3 points.

Re: QPR vs City: Post match discussion

Phew!!!!!!!!.....No more nails, and a million more gray hairs to boot. A very hard game it was like we were in 2nd gear all the match, and yes it was great to get the result but we made it so hard for ourselves, listening on the radio it seemed like we was turning over the ball so much from just outside the box to the middle of our half, and Savic had a right baptism of fire with playing along side Lescott [ very different from the Virralleal match ] still he came through it and no doubt learnt from it. On the whole a good 3 points from a QPR side that would'nt lie down, 2 silly goals which could have been costly still as what has already been said here, a couple of seasons ago we would have blown it and blown it big time........keep up the good work guys

Re: QPR,our hardest game so far..

tight ground and noisey, a lot of teams will struggle down there, great performance from the lads to go on and win the game united have been scraping these results for years, one thing in our favour here is tonights game might send the wrong message out to other managers to take us on
