I'd be happy with this - gotta feelin it will be Kolo instead of Savic

Looks good, Kolarov, Zabaleta, and Kolo for me.
Why do you want Zabs ahead of Micah? and Kolarov over Clichy
Good question. With Traore most likely out that leaves_______ at left back. Do you know the name of their substitute LB? Me neither. Can't be much of a threat.I believe they will be well up for a fight, so play scrappers like Zab and Kolarov. Probably be some fouls, so why not start Aleks? Zab needs to get some game time, and he couldn't be outclassed by whoever they sub for Traore.

Simply don't need Richards or Clichy in this one.

And those two could take a red or yellow, so......

Btw, Barry has 4 yellows ATM....

Kolarov a scrapper? Don't think his tackling is a strong point and even his biggest fans would admit that his overall defending is poor. And what does their left back got to do with our left back?

Zabs played the full 90 in midweek.

And to say "we don't need..." certain players, and not just any players for that matter, possibly are 2 most consistent players this season is foolish. It's not a guaranteed 3 points.

? Their LB faces our RB, correct? That's Zabs position. And I have no problem with Alek's defending, plus his freekicks are phenomenal. Clichy and Richards on the bench should they be needed.

Just my opinion, mate :-)

Not really? The full backs usually add width but don't 'face' their opposite number for the full 90. As said below, i would match up our full backs with their wingers.

And define 'phenomenal'?

Do one.

-- Fri Nov 04, 2011 10:59 pm --

Yeah Pudge, that was probably to far.

Like I said, just my opinion.

Their main attacking weapon is SWP and his pace. For that reason I would play Clichy.
SWP has been outstanding for QPR this season. But he's been playing largely on their left side, although he does switch wings. They will try and use his pace on the counter.

Some stupid comments about Kolarov in this thread! If you asked most City fans who was the most improved players of the season, you'd get two runaway contenders: Milner and Kolarov. It's a tough call as to who is the better left back. For me Kolarov is the better defender, and Clichy shades it going forward.
