To be honest I was surprised by how well hundreds of blues dealt with the queue at teh ticket office yesterday. Typically English lol we all stood in line no one was shouting at the security etc. No one was trying to push in, despite everybody missing the start of the first home game of the Champions and welcoming the players onto the pitch!
I too was one of the many in that queue, my season card hasn't arrived despite renewal on 08.05.2018 confirmed by email and the princely sum of 60+ quid removed from my bank account on 26.07.2018. On Monday last I received an SMS to indicate I should check my emails for tracking advice within the next 24 hrs. No email ever arrived and neither did my season card.
At 1230 rather foolishly I approached a blue bibbed "Customer Services" guy for assistance outside N1. These have been very good on the odd occasion I forgot my SC over the last couple of seasons. He checked my details as I made sure I took last seasons card and gave him my SC Number with photo ID. His answer when he checked the details were "Errrr you'll have to go to the ticket office. Only they can sort out the problem." My trepidation regarding the queue was confirmed when I got to the other side of the stadium and I realised then I probably wasn't getting in until nearly half time.
The queue banter was interesting as it seemed the majority were people with cards that hadn't been activated. Just to get them more exited the customer service reps or gate guards had told them they mustn't have been paid for, which went down as well as you'd expect.
I was thoroughly fucked off as I heard the teams come out and the game start with plenty of oohs and aggghhs from the fellow blues. I did smile as I got near the front and the queue came to a halt. There was some pandemonium up front as apparently the ticket printer system had crashed. Fortunately they got in going again in about 5 minutes. It was eventually my turn and there was to be no discussion of the problem just confirmation my card was paid for and heres a ticket for your seat.
As I left the ticket office City scored. As I hurried round and reached N1 City scored again. N1 and N2 were shut up and closed! Some orange coat noticed me and another looking confused and said you'll have to go to the late entry gate back at P. Off sucks sake why didn't they tell us as I asked. A strange doorway at the side of the normal gate leading into the stadium where a ticket reader was strangely on an interior wall. Another queue. The blokes ticket in front of me wouldn't work despite which way around and which way up the gate guard shoved it into the reader. No doubt I rolled my eyes. Eventually it read and finally in I went.
Quite frankly I'm not happy and I want them to refund the cost of that game as the fiasco fucking ruined the whole day.
As of today it still hasn't arrived.
CLB Any chance you can let me have an email address on who to complaint to. I heard a name banded about on Sunday in the queue but didn't make a note.
