Not many,if at all any,present or past players could be called elegant.

Nelly in full flow certainly was,

Great player,very sad loss,

I was lucky enough to see him play,and 'Elegant' fits him perfectly.A true blue,a true legend.R.I.P.

This has apparently sparked confusion on the radio, with people phoning in about the musician Neil Young. We're on about the Mancunian Neil Young, who played football for Manchester City and was bloody good at it.

Neil, you are one of my heroes and I am truly gutted. I was fortunate enough to grow up watching you and you gave me so many happy memories. I can still remember the first time I ever shouted anything at a football match was "go on Nelly" as you shot towards the Platt Lane end.
