They did a leaflet drop to coincide with the plane banner.

The leaflet said ""White's to be a minority by the year 2066 or sooner"

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out what they meant, mate. You assumed wrong.

Obviously, whoever did this just worked out that due to the huge national/international tv audience for the game they would get the biggest potential bang for their buck doing it over the Etihad today.
What pissed me off is that surely since 9/11 a flight plan has to be lodged/approved to take a light aircraft for a spin over a stadium at full capacity. Why the fuck from a security point would this be approved, even if it was just a banner saying peace and love? Madness.

exactly what i thought to myself - imagine this nutter nosedives into the stadium - should be no fly zone around the ground - obviously except planes at 30k+ feet... spotted a few drones to but maybe they were sky TV?

The fact is that if we are all going to have our arses wiped and meals made in our old age by young folk on minimum wage, then all of us born after about 1966 desperately need this level of immigration to happen by 2066 due to the ageing population problem of the native British.

I wonder if they picked the City v Liverpool game because the teams are managed by foreigners and have a large number of black/mixed-race players (Sterling, TAA, van Dijk, Fernandinho, Ake, Walker etc.)

Possibly but you'd have to assume they have enough sense to have predicted this game as higher viewing figures than most so choose it for that reason.

There have been about four games this season with a plane with strange banners on the back flying over the Etihad.

One was about a New World Order, one was about a Great Reset and I can’t remember the other one (think it was just an acronym or something: F.L.A.G.).

Some Burnley fans sent one over during lockdown football, and we had one flying over our 2019 trophy parade.
